also your precious rules are fucking useless if they aren't even designed to prevent people to be careless so not respectful at all and to do all kind of stupid things just because they aren't using a bad word you idiot so no i won't respect a rule that is only mean to prevent the only thing i can do to make everyone notice what's the problem

FF8 Tools / Re: [PSX/PC] Field editor - Deling (0.9.1b)

sometimes if you use the "Replace" function the result is that the new modded file doesn't get injected at all , so you try to delete and inject the modded file , but sometimes if you do this the modded file get corrupted , this happen with the fine called init.out contained in the "main.fs" archivie

3
fuck you, if you all want people to be polite and gentle then stop to be careless , not to mention that without those manners there isn't a way to be listened to , so yeah fuck you and your stupid statement , also just because none is forced to do anythong it doesn't mean that people can be a careless assholes , in any case i discovered the problem , it isn't this program , it is the deling script program that corrupt the file sometimes if you inject the modded file after deleting the previous one instead of use the replace button

4
appearently the problem isn't this program but something in the deling program , for some reason the file get corrupted if i inject it after deleting the previous one installed in the game , so to avoid the corruption you must swap , not delete and then inject the modded file , the point is that sometimes the swap option don't work so this is why initially i decided to delete the file and them inject the modded one

5
this program http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=17132.0 corrupted the init.out file of the english steam version of final fantasy 8 and all i did was to barely change the amount of the initial items , anyone experienced that and know how to solve this problem ?

6
ok so the problem isn't this modding program , but the fact that i injected the modded init by deleting the original one and then inject the modded one while i should have just swapped the modded file , but the reason why i chosed that option is because the deling injector-extractor sometimes doesn't swap so to make sure i wanted to delete the original file before inject the modded one

7
not only that , this editor corrupted the init.out for the english steam version of final fantasy 8, and all i did was to fucking barely mod the amount of initial items possessed god fucking damn it

The fact that it can be done doesn't mean that it would be easy. It can be way harder to do it for FFX because, indeed, of different data structures.

However, Husbjörn said that he plans to do something similar if he has time:To me, that looks the closest you can get to a game patcher that actually uses RAM modifications (and it would be goddamn useful). It's not the same kind of tools normally.

Please, let your respect for the modder take the shape of patience :)

i am not in hurry at all infact i really just forgot about this game , and i can imagine that it isn't easy , but my point infact was about how it is possible

yes different structure but clearly is possible , it was done with games that are even more complex so yeah is possible

don't make me mad , just because you don't like the mere idea it doesn't mean that it can't be done , it is possible , i already said that trilititi did the exact same thing for final fantasy 9 , so yeah of course it is possible even for final fantasy 10

11
anyone ??

trilititi created hades workshop , a program that can permanently mod the steam version of final fantasy 9 , and i asked for a program that do the same with final fantasy 10 and why not even 10-2

thanks for this tool , it solve a lot of problems in this game , but i need to know this : the "Limit Break Param" value determine the percentage for getting crysis level 4 , what is the correct value to set to make sure that the limit breaks are always at level 4 ? i ask because sometimes even if i set 255 the crysis level goes to 1, also please notice that i take only three lines to write this comment so please don't be lazy and reply\help me

Gameplay / Re: FF8 (Steam) Limit Breaks always active

I could provide you with details, with 2 caveats:
1.) it would involve patching the memory using something like CheatEngine or hex editing the EXE
2.) There are 4 crisis levels (which determine the power of the limit break, see this link), always setting this to a fixed level is easy, varying it is harder

Also which language of the game do you have?

for FF8_EN.exe (the Steam English version), there are at least 2 ways to do this, one would be to patch the EXE at 0x9431E or the memory of the process at 0x49431E:
Code: [Select]
from: 7D04
to:   EB09
That will permanently set the crisis level to 4.

The second way to do this (the way the Steam version does it) is patching memory address 0x1CFF838 to 0x01 - which sets the crisis level to always be 1 - you could set it to anywhere up to 4.

However, the addresses would be different for other versions of the game.

thanks for this precious contribution , please share with us also the hexadecimal values to constantly set the invincibility effect? (the one that is activated with the item called "hero" or something like that), you know the effect that make the characters white and transparent

I have some new ideas for a more in-depth kind of editor actually (as well as have managed to figure out a working way to alter enemy data of the Steam version at load time), just not the time needed to realize it. Hopefully one day...

please make a permanent patchee\modding program like hades workshop that trilititi created for final fantasy 9 :D

the link for the version 0.3 is dead , please reupload it

19
the window size can't be fixed and this prevent us to see and interact with all the zones of the pages , please fix that , don't pretend that you didn't noticed this error god fucking damn it , asshole

20
basically the low quality\original textures for tripod come up for all the second disc , and for part of the fourth disc , that happen even with the latest version of this mod and for tonberry ehanched

@Tirlititi  the reason for set 255 for all the power statistic is because i am exactly the opposite of a pro gamer , i play for fun , i don't treat a video game like some sort of purge , or an auto-punitive path in religious style , i want to be lethal , enemies aren't allowed to be crackerbox of better than the playable characters under my watch , also  if i like to have hard life i would do something different than play video games , i would find a job , or find a wife and so on , so at least i a video game i want to enjoy easy life , and clearly i don't accept the constant intrusive attitude of the nosy pro gamers that would like to feel entitled to establish for everyone how to play a video game , so yeah that's my point , of course i don't mind about how others play , so i expect the others to be equally respectful , after all the good thing of this program is that is suited both for pro gamers and for those that like me play a video game for the fun of it , but aside of this , the whole point of the "global buttons\fields\strings" is to just non waste hours :D , and of course i understand that you could have other things to care about

22
@Tirlititi hi there , i have a suggestion to make the modding less time consuming : it could take hours to mod every single field of every single page ( i speak for experience :D , it was totally worthy , but really long and boring to do ) , so my suggesion is that you can add another page to all the sections of the program , the only difference is that the new page will apply the value to all the respective fields of all the other pages of the same section ; an example : you add the "global page" to the section of the magics , if you set "255" as a value for the damage , that value for the damage will be applied to all the magics , the same will happen to all the other values to write or to select if the only choiche are the selectable values , and for all the other sections of the editor , particulary for the enemies , so in short , add something that i could call a "global page" to apply or select the same value\string to all the values in that section at once , it can be very helpful even when you edit the shops or distrubute the items , or when modifying the characters

23
i am not an hacker so all i know is the path of the steam save for final fantasy 9 :
 C:\Users\your user name\AppData\LocalLow\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY IX\Steam\EncryptedSavedData

in order to make sure that the "AppData" folder appear , you may have to change the settings for the folders in the apposite menu (it should be in control panel) and activate something like " show hidden folders"

24
well fortunately be able to land in more places is a good thing , infact i am really interested in make the invinicible able to land anywere :D

25
very good i will give it a try :D , but still i say that's strange how the first looping operation worked even without know the step that you explained now , and i wonder why
