7th Heaven / Re: 7th Heaven doesn't work with LiBRE
« on: 2020-08-10 11:00:36 »
Yep!

That did it.  Did not know 7th Heaven was accessing a different FF7.exe other than the one in the main folder.

Thank you!  This was frustrating me to no end.

7th Heaven / 7th Heaven doesn't work with LiBRE
« on: 2020-08-08 18:40:30 »
So, there's an old app called LiBRE which edits the FF7.exe file and allows you edit the Limit Break data for each character.  Unfortunately, I think 7th Heaven changes the FF7.exe back to its original state when launching, thus removing all changes previously made.

Is there a workaround for this?  I love 7th Heaven, but I also love customizing my limit breaks!  :(

Thank you!  That worked perfectly!

So, apparently, Tonberry and Ho-chu can only be fought in the battle arena.  The scenes they can be found in don't allow random battles to develop.

Anybody got any suggestions for a workaround to this?  Namely, I want to fight Tonberry in the Northern Crater (first trip) and Ho-chu in the Ancient Forest, but am not certain what the best way to do this is.  I suppose I could overwrite an enemy ID, formation, and battle script in a different scene that is encountered in battles, but I was wondering if there was a better way or an easier way to accomplish this?

Thanks to all who have created this community!

Ok, I was able to get the movies to play.  I think the issue was that the movies were from the disc, but the Game Converter wasn't pointing to the disc pathway to play them.  So I copied the movies into the pathway that I set Game converter to point to, and low and behold, I have movies now!

Thanks for your input guys!  I appreciate it.

7th Heaven / Can't get movies to play
« on: 2019-11-24 11:05:53 »
I installed 7th heaven, and after getting it up and running, the movies played.  But I had an issue, and had to overwrite with game converter.  Now the game converter won't find the movies path file.  I can't figure out why.  Am I suppose to copy the movies off the disc and put them into the folder that GC created?  Just not sure, and I don't won't to ruin anything.  The game works mostly fine now, save for the movies.

This is where Game Converter created the movies folder.  C:\FF7\data\movies

Thank you!

I'll do that, and I'll update if that fixes the issue.  I'll also take a look at the bugs thread and see what I need to do to correct that error as well.

Got the same issue.  Same prompt.  Don't know what I'm doing wrong.  Here is my profile details.  Hopefully, the easy fix is that I ordered it incorrectly.

7th Heaven / Re: Catalog isn't populating?
« on: 2019-11-17 12:18:13 »
Hi,

I pasted in the subscription link into the workshop general settings, per the instructions, but I still get nothing when I try to refresh the catalog.

This is what is pasted into the subscriptions Subheading:  iros://Url/http$pastebin.com/raw.php?i=dDBkYkDu

Not sure what I'm doing wrong on that one.  It's probably something simple, but I have no clue.

Edit:  Ignore the above.  I didn't close and reopen 7th Heaven.  :P

Thank you!  I have Wall Market, but I never thought to change Cloud's level in the Character tab to 1!  It worked!

11
Was wondering if anyone knew of a way to change Cloud's starting level from 6 to 1?  I understand that his level curve begins at 6 and the first 5 levels are chopped out.  Has anyone been able to figure out a workaround to this?  I'm just curious to see if I can play the beginning of FF7 and have Cloud start at Level 1 and level up normally from there.

Troubleshooting / Re: LiBre troubles in Windows 10

Ok, I managed to get a workaround.

I put Libre (and all its dlls/files) on a flashdrive along with FF7.exe and moved it to a Windows 8 computer.  Libre worked like a charm.  Then I just replaced my FF7.exe on my Windows 10 computer and voila!

So, the problem was either Windows 10, or I was missing some pack of files/dlls from Windows Visual that Windows 10 does not have, but couldn't figure out which ones, since LiBre wouldn't exactly tell me.  I can run ProudClod and Wallmarket just fine (I had to install Windows Visual packs for those).  The only trouble is LiBre.

Thank you for your advice.  I try to run LiBre as an administrator, but it won't even open and still spits out these results.  Isn't right clicking and saying "Run as an administrator" the same as running the program with admin rights?

Troubleshooting / LiBre troubles in Windows 10

So, I'm was using Bosola's wonderful limit break editor program for FF7!  I copied all the files to a new computer using Windows 10, and now I'm getting this bug report listed below:

Is there any way to fix this?

@NFITC1
I'm sorry, I didn't see an included readme in ProudClod when I downloaded.  Just checked it again and still no.  I've selected create scene.bin that got me in this whole debacle in the first place.  Whatever I did, it didn't update the kernel.bin.  Will you just tell me how to update the kernel using Proud Clod please?  I seriously do not have a readme from this version.

« on: 2011-07-28 03:39:00 »
Ok, there's a bug for Proud Clod, and that's the enemy stat editing part.  When I edited enemy stats the enemies started showing up in the wrong places (for instance when fighting the ice lady in the cave, instead of the enemy snow, there were three bandersnatches).  I know this involves the Kernel.bin not updating correctly.  Hojo fixes the issue by updating the kernel.bin when you save.  However, Proud Clod does not, hence the bugging part.  I don't know how to resolve this issue except for to start with a scene.bin that hasn't been tampered with Proud Clod.  I tried opening the corrupted scene.bin with Hojo and then updating the kernel.bin.  It didn't work.  I'll try again, and post later if successful.  If there is any advice you can give I would appreciate it.
