Completely Unrelated / [Suggestion] Image Preview
« on: 2013-09-06 07:34:07 »
Hi everybody,
I would like to suggest something that I am really missing on this forum: an image preview gallery like this: http://highslide.com/

I think it'll be very useful.

Graphical / Re: New Aeris/Aerith Death scene (video)
« on: 2012-11-28 10:14:56 »
Because of procrastination... I decided I might as well add another video to be inserted to apologies for the delay.
This is going to be a replacement for the intro credits or one of the intro vids.

The new game screen looks great. I think that it cannot be made unless you replace "new game" and "continue" with empty strings as place-holders for the images.

Great work anyway, maybe for the death video you could use the models made by the community.

Italians do it better.   :-D

Checked up on this looks really good just too bad i can't install this as it only supports iphone 3gs and over i got a 3g :(

I have a Galaxy Nexus (Android) and even in the Android world it runs only on device like a Galaxy S or better...

That suck because it is basically an embedded browser with flash animations.

I'm using this app from my Android Phone, Tapatalk, for lurking forums and I find it very useful.

I propose to add Tapatalk support to Qhimm (here's the guide).

Graphical / [QUESTION] Aali's Compression
« on: 2011-09-21 09:41:27 »
Hi to everyone,
I would like to suggest an idea, maybe you already thought this option and discarded it.

It's all about PNG files and the load time in game.

I wonder if you can put another type of compressed archive like LGP (I suppose you can) or better ZIP/RAR into mods folder.
The core question is:

Aali's driver could support this, maybe in a future release?
If it does, will the performance improve?

My plan that all forums need an IQ tester for entry is definitely gaining momentum.

I strongly agree.

Your mod is awesome, an amazing work of reverse engineering.

I would like to know if the blank space between slots column and weapin list column it's a sort of bug or not.

I'm playing this squenix turn based rpg, and I find it awesome. Is anyone else playing it?

@Indrema: hai fatto una lavoro magistrale, un one-time installer รจ proprio quello di cui aveva bisogno qualcuno che ha cercato per tutto questo tempo di creare guide a prova di idiota nella speranza di diffondere il verbo, :) grande!

Great work, i really needed a one time installer to spread "the word"!

I didn't play Morrowind, but i spent ages playing Oblivion, also because there's a large community that builds very interesting mods (but they don't restyle the game itself, like you did :D). I think that it's only flaw it's the missing dual wield combat, and it's a great news to hear that it will be implemented. Here it is an exclusive E3 footage:

Imho I think that "Lifestream" should not be translated because it's the same in JAP and US version. I'll keep "Lifestream"instead of the Italian translation "Flusso Vitale". Only a suggestion :)

Scripting and Reverse Engineering / Text and 3d Models
« on: 2010-07-03 13:33:14 »
I would like to know how texts are saved in the LGP files.
If I extract battle.lgp or field.lgp, for example, will I find a proper file for dialogues and names of monsters and any other text in the game inside a file or a group of files? Will the text be embedded in other files like backgrounds, textures or 3d models?

17
I saw Multi-language Compatibility packs in the release topic. How does exactly they work? Does they change dialogs in game?
I would like to know if they use the install disc to extract the text data and replace the one in installation folder, leaving as they are all the other elements installed by the Remix Patch.
If so i could use it to apply the Italian patch made by Sadnes City (http://www.sadnescity.it/traduzioni/ff7/ff7.php) to translate the Remix installation. This patch simply check the ff7 files and replace them with the Italian ones (this causes the loss of 3d models and the other effects of the Remix patch). The Idea is to make a fresh install and use Italian patch, make an installation disc with the italian version of files instead of original and then run the language patch.
Is that possible?

Team Avalanche / Re: New Project: Bombing Mission!
« on: 2010-05-20 09:53:52 »
Let me congrats first for this amazing and awesome project  ;D

A simple question...  ???
Why make another Cloud's model when there is already the APZ one?
It seems well done IMHO, do you think its style is not close to the original?
Or is it that APZ doesn't belong to the Team Avalance cast?

Releases / gjoerulv's "Hardcore" mod
« on: 2010-03-06 12:20:42 »
Was Omega difficult btw (only the last form. The 1st 2 are kinda ment to be pushovers)?
I found all the "hard" fights in the game very easy after i found my build (cover, magic-counter+fullcure, many counter-attack) and got w-item. The battles are only longer. I made Game Over more often in the random encounters (before putting on protecting against paralysis and stop) than in this boss battles

They are in the materia caves. You know, where mime, magic-counter etch. are located. You pick 'em up WITH these materias. The reason is simple: to make 'em available early.
I have got only the mime, quadra magic, kor and hp<>mp...

My AUC is off.

Hojo check it's ok, there are 3 omega.

My Battle.lgp is 90.336 kByte because of the 3d models installed by the 2.5 patch
