About ff8fmv... I dunno squat about it..except that i am new to the concept. You CAN or you CAN'T use the FF8 psx when using it right? If so why not? and is there any possible way to do it?

You can't use FF8FMV with the PSX version of FF8, no. It's only for extracting movies from the PC version of the game.

To play movies from most PSX games you need some kind of PSX movie player (duh!) like PSMPlay ... haven't got a link handy, sorry, but Google should find it for you pretty quick.

The FF8FMV program is really good, but I have a couple of questions.

1.Why does it automatically extract the movie selected to be viewed to a temp directory and then play it, instead of streamingdecompressing-on-the-fly off the cd like what FF8 seems to do?

2.  This is mainly addressed to Qhimm or whoever wrote the program:  Can you include an option to scale the 320X240 resolution movies, so that they really are full screen?

It extracts to a Temp folder so the Bink player can play it.  Qhimm didn't program the program that plays the movies, only the program that extracts them.  The Bink player is freeware and available from Bink's site - http://www.radgametools.com/ I think.

The RAD Video Tools program (see link above) can do that to the movies if you extract them.
