(FIXED)trouble with video codecs
« on: 2009-07-17 18:53:17 »
I'm installing the game and was asked if I wanted to install some video codecs. Everything was going good until I received this message.

The win16 subsystem was unable to enter protected mod, DOSX.EXE must be in your autoexec.nt and present in your PATH

I've tried installing the upside down video patch and got the same error.

I've looked online to find a solution and it obviously has something to do with DOS, but I'm not sure how to fix it. How can you fix this?

edit: I'd also be happy with a way to skip the movies altogether so I can play the game.

Would this allow me to play the game without the videos loading?

I've tried searching for what you described and I can't find anything.

yeah it would do just that, remove the videos while allowing you to play.

I found the solution on getting the movies to run. For those with problems download Ace Mega codec pack.
