It prompts Yes/No/All for copying 188 files.  I hold down Y or hit A and it successfully copies all the files over into the lgp.
I then exit the command prompt and the remade lgp is shown as significantly smaller.

Is it about 4.5 MB?

Yes, it is.

Then the patch is not correctly unpacking your magic.lgp. If it cannot do this it just adds my modified files to a blank magic.lgp and it ends up being 4.5 MB. Where are you putting your lgp?

In the summon pack folder with nothing other than what it came with when downloaded + the magic.lgp.
Could it perhaps be the lgptools in the folder?

Doubtful, you need to tell me exactly what happens when you run the patch

command prompt opens
Code: [Select]
A subdirectory or file magic already exists.
1 file copied.
Number of files in archive: 5252.
It asks a to overwrite file X (Yes/No/All), I hold Y or hit A, runs through the files.
124 files copied.
5283 files to add.  Successfully created archive.
Exit out of command prompt.

Wait wait wait.
I see.  I was exiting out too early, before it recreated the archive.

My bad.  Sorry for the trouble. :-D

And let me just say WOW.  Huge huge huge leaps in content.  Amazing work, I'm stunned.  It's beautiful.  Thanks a lot for this!

Nol problem. Just remember any patch will have a press any key to exit at the end. If you do not see this the patch is not finished. Glad you enjoy it  :-D

Well given how long that app.log is it lasted more then 3 seconds. And it is looking for a seffect1_06.png. Take one of the other seffect and copy and rename it to seffect1_06.png

Just wanted to say I was also missing that same file when looking in app.log.

Fixed it by copying another file and renaming it as suggested but just wanted to make sure you guys were aware of the issue.

I know I asked this a while ago- but here it is again :)

I'm goin' to use this mod- it looks, it seems, IT IS AWESOME!
But I asked you sometime ago- will this work on the german version? Someone said "Yes, of course, but I'm not sure 'bout the fonts"
Well, I want to try it out, but at the moment I don't have enough time :)

Thanks for help,
- D3

it should work just fine, but the language might be changed to english(or spanish if you choose that instead).
Or the language won't change at all, and you'll get improved spell effects with the same stock letters as before.

well i guess since it's technically a "problem" i'll ask here.

sl, made any headway on why the shadows for the text is transparent?

I have been doing some research on this, and it seems there is no real good solution. We can either

A: Live with the problem as it only exists on transparent windows (which dont seem to be the majority)
B: I can remove all transparent shadows from everything. This will make the font look not as nice but the transparent windows will look the same as all the other text (This option also removes the ability to antialias the fonts)

I will leave it up to you guys to let me know which you prefer

I've gotta admit that I am a HUGE fan of the transparent windows.  But really, with the high resolution of the text as it is now.. does it really need AA?

I believe it is a personal preference. Some people have asked me for aa.

I too prefer the transparent windows since they don’t hide the background but yes I suppose it is a matter of personal preference, so whatever the majority decides.
Btw I too just tried the installer and everything looks to be working fine.

Are the transparent windows a mod of some sorts?

Yes it is a mod of some sort. It is part of YAMP and used by a large percentage of the members.

Ah ok, well i suppose i could make 2 different sets of text. One with AA and partially transparent shadows, and one solid one for the people that use this patch. Sound good everyone?

Personally I don't use the transparent windows patch, I prefer my horrible taste in color schemes to be vivid and opaque.

Sounds good to me. You may add that into the installer to say something like "If you use YAMP's transparent.......".

Nope, just the windows through the in-field text. So you're on the clear zone there!  :-)
