These water textures are really nice and all, and i've been trying to think of what to say, but, to put it bluntly, perhaps they just have too much detail?
They're epic, but being used for this, i'm not sure they really work very well.
What I mean is, if I added these textures and played FF7, I'd constantly be reminded that these are just textures that are repeated over and over, wheras in the original, they didn't realy stick out that much. they look epic, but they just don't blend in too well, you know what i'm saying?

If you're right ...... The water textures are moving so they are harder to look good ... In the rivers is good because they are small, but in the ocean is harder to make that look good ....... Anyway I am waiting for Pyrozen me your opinion ...

Thank you.

I honestly think that these look fantastic!
As for the meteor, it looks like it's going to hit somewhere else rather than on the Planet Gaea itself.  :-P

I'm with NeoCloudstrife on this.  It does look good, but it needs to blend else it will detract from the other good quality work done with the rivers and grass and mountains

this would look good on a more recent engine, but it is way to detailed for this game. I would use the default ocean as a template and try and stay close to that. The ocean should be primarily dark blue, with just a few very small waves, like the original. Same thing for the lakes as well. The color you have is spot on though, so i'd stay with the same palette, just reduce the amount of waves and make it look more static. Try to avoid any type of directional texures, since they also make the tiling appear. You can see what i mean on the small lake since the textures all run into the center.

One thing i noticed while working on the WMRP, the more detail you add to your textures, the more visable the tiling becomes. Sometimes you can add a bit of noise to reduce the effect, but that isn ot the case with animated textures. On the other hand though, the rivers are looking great and I'd be ready to incorporate them into the WMRP whenever you are.

The rivers and I can give you for you to try on your pc. I sent you the rivers? So we solve glitches ...

For the ocean proves new things to prevent the tiles.

this is not what you want? No effect of tile.

The darker blue is much better at conveying the oceans depth. The tiling is also much less noticeable, but I definitely miss the wave definition it added something.

i'm really liking that. is there anyway to slightly blend the larger waves back into this image, but make them alot darker than the original image you posted? If possible i think it would be a happy medium between the two.

what you've got now looks good to me.  just a suggestion to try and add a bit of the larger waves back into it, but keep them dark so the tiiling is not as noticable.  In the first image, the large waves are very bright so the tiling pops right out, if they were alot darker it would mask this effect. At least i think it would ;) only way to find out would be a test, and if it nots possible then what you have is still great.

that's EXACTLY what i was talking about! looks fantastic, the only thing i can say is try and reduce or randomize the lighter portion a bit so the "lines" cannot be seen, but otherwise you have achieved near perfection!
