That has got to be the most common battle area that sticks in my mind. That is amazing! Only thing I want to note is the ground may be a bit too bright compared to the original, as isn't it an overcast day? On a side note, that new interface almost makes it look like you're playing FF8 with FF7 characters :P

Excellent work, FeliX Leonhart and thanks for the screenshots.

The only part I am not so convinced about is the world map grass which looks a bit... I wouldn't know the tech word but I'd say messy, if you know what I mean (the grass in the latest battle scene picture instead is simply marvellous). I am sorry I cannot come with a real constructive criticism.

Damn that looks amazing....

More world map feedback:

- The grass patches in the middle of the Midgar Zolom Swamp look a bit too 'green and clean', needs more 'wet and muddy'. :)

Try turning on linear_filter in the config file. I dont recommend you to play with that setting on but if that makes it look better there's hope for a driver-based solution.

I'll give it a try, then I'll let you if it worked (I need to download it again first).

EDIT: Yeah, it's definitely better with it on. The graininess is significantly reduced.

This proyect is amazing! Thank you very much for your effort Felix. I have seen the entire worldmap and only found this problem with the same texture:

I know I am just telling you that a WIP has a lot of errors like this so its very unlikely that its just your problem. Is this happening to all the mountains on your world map or only a specific spot?

only happen with all the mountains that use this texture. the rest of the worldmap is perfect. I do this question because in this picture doesnt appear this problem, thats all

Could have something to do with settings in Aali's driver, or the fact that i took that screenshot with this mod plus the WMRP.

Most likely the driver problem. Also check if the png files are not corrupted.

Is your path: mods\Qhimm\battle
or
mods\battle?

The first one is the correct path but the "Qhimm" Part is an example, it can be named anything.

Have you also set up aali's driver correctly? Open up ff7_opengl.cfg and find where it says "mod_path" and change it to what the folder in the "mods" folder is called. For example mine would be mod_path = Qhimm.


Also, if you're talking about the world map, that's a serperate download on the first page. Also remember that this is work in progress (WIP) so not all battle scenes/textures on the world map have been completed.

I think i just downloaded the battle mod, without noticing the world map enhancement link at the bottom, so i will download that too now, in the mods folder was just the folder i extracted (battle), but i have now created a folder called Qhimm, and stuck them into that, so hoping all will go well, changed the mod path in Aalis driver too, thanks for your help.
