Hm, deleting his main script, then those few bits of code in his pre-battle script had the same effect (ATB bar constantly filling).

Thinking about it though, it'd be more fun to have Sephiroth as just a regular party member.  Deleting his pre-battle and main scripts take care of that, as you stated previously.

Thanks for clearing that up.  Where do I find the "Enable Main Script" option?  I clicked through every tab in WallMarket...

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but deleting his main script simply made him do nothing at all in battle.
His ATB bar fills, then refills, then refills, etc., but with no action.

Sorry for the delay, I've been out all day.  I re-downloaded touphScript and re-copied the files from the CDs, and everything worked perfectly.

This is awesome.  I can finally edit the things that have been bothering me ("It moved!" when you fall into the church) and give Barrett and Cid actual curse words instead of the $%#@!.

Thank you very much for your time and effort on this.

First off, excellent tool.  Thank you for your time.

However, when I go to encode the text, it crashed as 9/705:  "FFVII text editor has stopped working."
(I noticed the dump is 702 files, while the encode is 705.)  I haven't renamed or deleted any of the text files.  I also haven't deleted any entries.
Is this simply due to a change in the number of letters in a given entry?

I'm using Windows 7 32 bit, if it matters.

Faaaaantastic.  Thank you very much!

Awesome, thanks for the find.  I'm glad the video is so high quality, unlike what you'd find on YouTube.

Wow, no kidding...  I've been out of the loop for a while, evidently.
Thanks for the info!   :-D

See topic.

(Questria was an online card game similar to the card game in FFIX)

Archive / Recommendations for Soundtrack Replacement
« on: 2006-06-04 19:41:47 »
Okay, I've got FF7Music working, and I've got the FF7 OST, the AC OST, the Black Mages albums, and different songs from Overclocked Remix.
What songs do you choose to replace, and with what other songs?  For example, the Advent Children version of "One Winged Angel" is a popular one to do.

Hehe, for a little while, I was using The Ramones' "Blitzkreig Bop" as the battle theme, just for fun.  It was neat to see the characters prepare their limit breaks while the words "Hey!  Ho!  Let's go!" were being shouted in the song.  Now obviously, that's not something you want to keep as a permanent replacement, but it was fun for a few fights.   :-)

So... ideas?  Suggestions?

I'm the system admin for a credit card company that sells, programs, maintains, and does tech support for credit card machines.  It's pretty enjoyable, and the people I work with are great.  Plus they give me a lot of money because I know more about computers than most -if not all- of them.   :-D

Aside from all this, I remember hearing that the "666" was actually a mistranslation of what was supposed to be "616," the "true" mark of the beast or whatever.
I can't name any sources as I don't recall them now, but I'm sure that those who are actually interested enough can find them.

Correct, I said I'd appreciate not receiving flames to a post I made.
And I've changed my name once, and this is the one I will stick with.  I've only been here a short time, and I've found a name to settle in to.
I don't see how being here for 6 years makes one better than anyone else here.

I don't think it's an issue of having something to hide, as much as having a degree of integrity and not subjecting others (who, admittedly, make the choice themselves to read this) to such nonsense.
Now, because I believe that teaching by example is a fantastic technique, I'm going to demonstrate said integrity and not post in this thread anymore, regardless of whatever "witty" retort you decide to post.
(Read: "Cry me a river.")

I do wish you great enjoyment in playing and editing Final Fantasy, as that's what this forum is for.  I will return to my task of choosing which Overclocked remixes I'd like to incorporate into my FFVII game.  Have a great day.

For the sake of keeping these forums clean and professional, I personally feel this entire thread should be deleted.  All of it could have stayed in PMs, and I actually feel worse about visiting this forum now that I've subjected myself to the inane negativity in this thread.    Some of the points brought up here about the tyrannical behavior of some of these forum's members were highly insightful and correct.
I was obviously foolish to have continued reading this.  I suppose it was like watching a train wreck, or a car crash.
Lesson learned.  Avoid childish banter.

Glad to have been able to help.   :-)
I've gotten it to work too, and I'm greatly enjoying having songs from the Advent Children OST, songs from Overclocked Remix (http://www.ocremix.org/index.php), and the original mp3s from FF7 in my game.
With this, the NPC Reconstruction Project, and the hi-res patches, it's like a whole new game.
::sigh::  I'm in love with FF7 all over again.

-Discovered I have no "in_mp3.dll" or "out_wave.dll".
-Changed the filename of "out_ds.dll" to "out_wave.dll".
...
-I didn't have "in_mp3.dll" or "out_wave.dll", so I had to rename the ones I had.
To be honest, I'm only starting to attempt to get this to work on my computer, but it seems to me that part of your problem may be quoted above.  I did a tiny amount of research (read: a quick search on Google) and came up with these:

***Link to out_wave.dll: http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files_new.php/dllfiles/O/out_wave.dll/-/download.html
***Link to in_mp3.dll: http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files_new.php/dllfiles/I/in_mp3.dll/-/download.html

Note that in_mp3.dll is what TwilightFantasy suggested in the first post of this topic.  I don't know if that's the best to use, as I haven't gone that far with it.

Hope I've helped you or anyone else out. :-D

After Palmer gets hit by the truck Cloud and the others hop onto the Tiny Bronco and turn it, then they begin to take off.
...
Cloud remembers that Rufus mentioned that Sephiroth was across the sea in a place called "The Temple Of The Ancients".
Can anyone help me out with my save file?
Excellent summary!  I played through that part again a few nights ago, and you described it perfectly.   :-D

(Quote with my own numbers inserted):
1.)  What's with the request, anyway? I haven't flamed anyone in this thread, quite the opposite, this is me being nice and cuddly. :-D
2.)  By the way, allow me to point out nicely and cuddly...ly? and in totally non-flaming way, that your post is on the borderline of being a thread resurrection.
3.)  PS. Grammar. Not grammer. Too good of an opportunity to pass up, sorry. Just teasing.
1.)  I know you havn't flamed anyone here, just trying to avoid being on the receiving end of such flames for offering a slightly different (though not really) perspective.  Thanks for not doing so.
2.)  I thought the limit for a board resurrection was 3 months.  Mine was only about a month away.   :-)
3.)  Crap, you got me.  If I'd looked at it before I posted, I would have caught that.

You know, I understand what you're saying here.  And I understand the degenerative effect it can have on a forum.  What I don't understand is getting as angry about it as some of you seem to.  I imagine an angry mob with pitchforks and flaming torches destroying the homes and villages of the thread posters who use poor punctuation and grammer.
Granted, it can be difficult to make out what some of the (seemingly pre-teen) posters are trying to say.  And the point about quotes is very true and well-founded.  But let's take a deep breath and calm down a bit, eh?  There are much larger problems in life and on the internet which are far more worthy of righteous indignation.
I'd greatly appreciate a lack of flames for my post, thanks.

21
Yeah, I figured I could have done that too, though I didn't check the equipment and see the "t Vest" until after I'd gone in and added the Star crystals (again, whatever they're called) to my inventory.

22
Somehow, I hadn't read about ff7w before your post.
Thanks, I'll be sure to check it out!   :-D

I hafta agree with zero here...  My fiance likes to watch me use Yuffie in my party, 'cause she says she's cute.  While she likes Cait Sith too ("Kitty!"), he's far less useful than Yuffie.

Good luck with this project.  It'd be awesome to have Zack fighting alongside Cloud.

24
Well then, perhaps something like the PS1 Codebreaker "Ultimate Code" (that's what it's called).
With it, you hold L1 + L2 + square to fill your limit bar on demand.  I like using that one when playing the PS1 version, and kinda miss it when playing the PC version.

P.S. - The same code also makes you invulnerable, like you have the constant "Peerless" effect from Aeris' final limit in effect.  I don't care so much for invulnerability, except when fighting Emerald and Ruby.   :-P

Your friend has played you for a fool.  Grats!
