*Update*  Ok... so not changing the /D did the trick.  It now launches but the sound still falls behind and has to catch up and then pops... probably just an issue with Aali's graphics driver.  I am using .11  You are an awesome individual UGerstl and I thank you for your help.  Also is there a code you could make to make the game launch in the EXACT same place every time. It seems every time I launch it, it opens with a part of the video below my task bar area.  Maybe these intro fmv's weren't meant to be streamed... and if I click anywhere off of the game window it still skips to the "New Game, Continue" screen...  my stuggles can be found at:  www.twitch.tv/vegadawg2

Releases / Re: New FFVII Intro FMVs

Awesome work sir!!  very much appreciated... I am having an issue with eidoslogo.avi   the sound is always lagging behind the video... I've switched between a Aali's graphics driver .10 and .11 with the same result.  If anyone knows how to get the video and audio to run in sync with these awesome new fmv's please let me know. My sound lags hard at the beginning making it fall behind the video and then it pops the rest of the way through the video.  Once the popping starts it continues all they way through the other videos also...  Thank you in advance with any tips or pointers anyone may have.  I don't wanna have to run these videos from my VLC player everytime I choose to cast this game, strictly because I want the audience to see the opening title screen and you can't do that when you skip the fmv's.

Solved Problems / Re: The Impassable Whirlwind Maze

The only way I could get past this dreadful part (after failing 50+ times) was to walk along the left edge of the path to get through that green wall of annoyance.  Hope this helps others having difficulty passing this section... Again, walk along the left edge of the path and you should get through there no troubles....

Thanks PitBrat...  that did the trick, and thanks you very very much for the timely response.   My current issue I am having is when I start up the game from FF7 Music and try to move the launched game window it skips all the opening FMV's and goes straight to the "New Game, Continue" screen.  I have been bashing my head against the wall trying to overcome this little annoying feature.  I also need it to not skip the FMV's or at least pause them while I change the game's affinity in the task manager.(default settings for some reason is to run using only one processor and I have to change it to all four if I want smooth performance)  Is there anything I can adjust or set to have it NOT skip the opening FMV upon a button push or window adjustment?  This is a very frustrating problem when trying to cast this because the window NEVER launches in the same place twice so you have to recapture the game window everytime.... and when you do that it skips the FMV's at the beginning....  If there is no solution to this for now that is ok I will survive but my audience is being robbed of the opening FMV's including JordieBo's awesome title screen...  Any help would be greatly appreciated as always! :)

Hello everyone!  I am having the strangest issue with my FFVII build.  When i try to change my system sound output to my USB headphones I can't get FFVII music to launch....  It just says that there is no audio driver available.  I would really like to cast my beautifully modded FFVII but I can't cast it unless I can get the sounds to work though my headphones.  FFVII music works fine if I have my system sound set to speakers and not my headphones.... Please if anyone has any information on how to get FFVII working with headphones please let me know so I can cast this immediately!  Thank you in advance for all your help guys!  sorry if this has been solved prior, but I searched the troubleshooting section and did not see anyone else talking about this same issue so maybe it's a Vista issue or something....  Thanks again everyone!

I've played this game and thought it was quite fun.  Very inventive and really great to see some love for the retro out there.  I give this game two thumbs up for sure!

It's not these textures that are causing the text to scroll on the side of the screen like that.  I'm pretty sure it's DLPB's Menu Overhaul Project that is making that little snafu occur.  He briefly mentions it on his thread.  I also believe he said there will be a fix for it when he releases his final version of his project.

White jacket definitely has to go!  99% of the users on this forum don't like/approve of AC so doing any model in that style won't be very well received here.  Other than that, I am very glad to see a new release on here.  Great work.

That textures folder is from Remix and is different from your mods folder, so it's probably not going to get you anywhere at the moment.  also, if your using an ATI graphics card make sure compress textures is turned off.  Shaders should also be turned off.  Also, new battle interface needs to say yes in your opengl. This line in your opengl could be giving you problems also:
# YUV fast path shader
yuv_source = shaders/yuv.frag
... maybe get rid of that line all together and you may have some success.
Best of luck on your FFVII!

I'm guessing your not getting much feedback on your issue due to where you downloaded it from.  Look around on these forums and see if you can find the exact same thing here.  When you find it (not if), and still can't get it to work, feel free to ask questions.  I am just pretty sure that site you mentioned is not supported here just for an fyi.  Take Care and Good Luck!

Unfortunately, Sadly, Sickeningly, NO ONE will help you with those phenomenal KulaWende AC mods OR APZ's absolutely amazing(and necessary) Cloud on this forum.  They are......get this.......apparently illegal in some way.  Maybe because they are too high quality and put 95% of the models available now to absolute shame.  The KulaWende mod, I believe, is the ONLY release where you can acquire a higher quality Tifa, Aeris, Cid, Vincent, Red 13,and CaitSith battle AND field models.  Maybe someday more models will be completed but they too will probably be deemed illegal someway somehow and be removed, so just Google it for now and you'll find lots of help out there, and enjoy playing FFVII with a full set of characters modded. :-X

I'll be curious to see what  you come up with...

PitBrat has modified the remix installer on his bootleg installer.  Gets rid of a lot of the junk and keeps all the goods.  You might wanna check out his thread and see if you like the results.

yeah it's too bad copyright exists or else all the mods for this game would probably be complete by now and the game would be looking PS3 worthy....  but alas.. copyright laws slow progress down and stop the amazing things from happening.  Look at all the amazing things that come out of Japan and China.... they have no copyright laws and how is it hurting them?  it's only helping.. period.

15
Well then I would recommend uninstalling everything and starting from the top with a fresh maximum install....  Easy as that my friend.

16
I'll be seeding this for awhile for everyone... enjoy!! ;D

I've already added those ogg's to my music that I use in-game.  I highly recommend others use them too.  They are really great.  It would be cool if you could incorporate them into your bootleg Pit.  That's also really awesome that you fixed the eyes so they're not pink anymore.  Should make a huge difference I think...  Also I wanted to ask... what ice textures were missing from kela51's ice spell mods?  just out of curiosity cause I thought they were looking good already.  I'll be curious too see all the new additions as your work progresses.

leave it to Nvidia to mess things up for you.   ha ha...     glad to hear you are up and running again!

If your not sure where to get a vanilla FF7 you can unzip PitBrat's file:  ff7102zx.zip    The download link for this file is on page one of this post I believe. Look around you'll find it....  It has a vanilla FF7.exe file in it that you can use for future modding.  There are other places to acquire it, that's just the quickest one I can think of right of hand.

General Discussion / Re: Spell effects

Always make sure your .png files have the EXACT same name as the file your are attempting to overwrite.  There should be no problem if you are sure to do that step correctly.

21
My two cents is to turn your shaders off and turn compress textures off.  Both of these are in the opengl.config...  Try that and post your results.  Good luck, this can be aggravating so just be patient and you'll get it playing and remember there is always someone on here willing to help so don't be afraid to ask.

Sounds like a struggle APZ...  You don't need to worry cause we'll be very patient.  Take care of the top priorities first and we'll be here waiting when you make your triumphant return.  Take care and keep that chin above water!  :-)

If anyone can get the Wiki looking organized it's PitBrat.  He seems like an ultra organized person.  Can't wait to see the new Wiki after he tears through it.

That's why I prefer Twitch.tv for streaming games... it's justin.tv's break-off site dedicated strictly to gaming.

Looks like he has facepalmer for the backgrounds.  Definitely has the AC battle models and field models.  I tried chatting with him while he was streaming but never got any response...  Bootleg installer from PitBrat will help you install those if you have the zip file downloaded already.  And feel free to ask any questions.  I'm always here to help if possible...
