Are you sorting the place graphics?  At moment they don't blend right so look like squares.
What do you mean?

I have a note Acer 5930. But it's quite heavy. I buyed this Asus Eee PC 1215n . It meets the minimum requirements for Photoshop CS5 + the display resolution is bigger then on my Acer.

Your not gonna try and run photoshop on a netbook.... are you? That can't be good lol...

You are reading my mind^^

Keep up this great work! We won't tell anyone! >_<

The scene works perfectly =D
Hmm,  there is no balance between the shadows (and a bit of vibrance) of the scene and the cloud model=(

106
hehe >_>

Looks good.. but something is missing. Feels weird  :-P

What are missing are:
- Slight blue highlight on the rocks where it connects to the sky (sky reflection)
- Shadows between the road and the rocks
- The inside part of the cave (yeah, I'm obvious:P )
- IMO the sky needs to be rotated 75 degree clockwise

Else the scene is a great work=)

Finaly finished exams in my second university! ^_^ Omg, 4 weeks of hell pased.... All what's left is to buy a netbook (as a prize for good marks) and travel home to my Photoshop CS5=) Await an update for WME in a few days))

Does anyone know such complicated sentences? Knowing them is good for blowing the minds of the listeners:P

Uh, remember that Yuna said something like that, but can't remember the scene where it happened -_-

Never played Ninja Gaiden, but heard it's extremely hard. And that the next NG will be more softcore =(

In intense scenes it was around 5-7 fps. But I don't remember any laughing scenes... I guess I need to replay it=)

I can play that shiz with 60 solid with 0.9.7. 0.9.8 should make it even better.

Back than in 2007 I had a single core CPU + the emu was unstable and slow XD
10 fps (1/6 of the speed)was a great speed then, but very frustrating....

In terms of commonplace erudition each local individual, internalizing abstraction, should not neglect the criteria of utopian subjectivity!

117
PCSX2 has only the gpu instructions supported for PS1 (gsdx), but not the main core instructions, so in the near future pcsx2 will not be able to rus ps1 games.

That texture is really epic :-o I feel like a total noob :'(

120
wow I am suprised nobody has commented on this but excellent job on that scene above, makes me feel like a total newb
anyway how did you accomplish this exactly, hours of work by hand I assume?

Firstly you make the texture in 2d, than you change the angle and stretch to match the original. The tricky parts were the inner parts of arcs where Warp was needed. Still CS3 on my note is not confortable like CS5, and that slows the process =P

Yes I am afraid there is no magic trick for a poor computer.

There is a way actualy... You buy liquid nitrogen, cool down your cpu and overclock it! }=)

122
you don't ask a magician how the tricks work, right?

in a way i feel like learning what it is you've got with a mod and how to implement it is some sort of right of passage.

i think the general feeling about it on development side around here is something like: "no one reads those readme files, anyway" and i'm sure they're mostly correct.

Yep, readme files can't explain all the tricks of modifying images.
But for starters they must first learn the basics image editing (there are a tons of tutorials explaining them)
After that starts the most interesting part - getting the techniques for particular images/textures. You can find some tutorials or if you have some experience - guess from others work. So if you learn a lot techniques not at the same time, but only for a particular image - the learnin process will be much easier.

As for the process of redoing textures:
1) Determinate what do you want to do and how, check tutorials, get the needed brushes and textures.
2) Compose the image
3) Add shadows/highlights, adjust saturation, brightness, contrast, black/white levels, etc... to get a good lookin texture =)

UPD: Speaking of basic techniques. Warp and Distort are quite good tools=)
Here is what can be done with them by combining train graveyard scene textures and sl1982's background textures:P
