Hi, I know it is a repetitive question on the board, but can anyone help me get rid of the "Oops! Something very bad happened" error? (the one that closes the game immediately after pressing "Launch Game" with an error message)
Here's my problem: After following the steps in the modding guide(http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=15520.0), checking several posts here and such, I can't seem to get my modded game to work. I'm using the 1998 release of FFVII (US v1.02) and 7thHeaven v1.56

Please, can anyone tell me what to do to fix it? I've tried many of the solutions (the 1 save in each save slot, for example) and none seem to work. If anything else is required, I'll promptly supply it. Judging by the error messages from other users in the forum, I recall it fails right before the "[00000001] initializing sound..." line in APP.LOG.

Thank you kindly in advance :D

#EDIT: IT WAS The Reunion - Beacause and Menu Overhaul's FAULT
If anyone has a similar problem to mine, I fixed it by installing The Reunion with the standalone installer after a fresh install, then GC, then install mods using 7thHeaven. Works like a charm!

Delete the extra set of direct and music in the Extra Folders section. It only needs to be input once.

What is with the Original Videos Path and Original Drive Letter showing H:\ in your FF7_GC.log?

It automatically adds "direct" and "music" in the Extra folders section every time I try to launch and crash. I assume the original videos path and such is because of several uses of daemon tools and not unmounting correctly volumes. I ran the GC again and here's the new FF7_GC.log

Awful lot of drive letters if you're all the way to H (not in itself a problem, but could indicate that letters/locations are changing if, for example, FF7DISC1.ISO was mounted to H during install, was removed, then got mounted to G when you tried to play two days later).  There might also be a clue as you noticed that the crashes appear to take place immediately before sound initialization... did you successfully test your sound config when the converter was running, or attempt to change it later by using FF7_Config instead of re-running the converter?

I tested it with no problems during the converter,  both the first time I ran it and the second time (re-ran it to check the config again).
