FF7 - blackscreen , then ctd at startup

Hey,

I just installed FF7 on my notebook. then i run the 1.02 patch and the the truemotion codec.
the ff7 configurator is set to nvidia tnt.

thought i had everything i need, but whenver i start ff7 the screen just gets black for a few seconds and than it went back to windows without an error warning or anything.

hope you guys can help me.

edit: sorry, i forgot to mention: im using windows vista/32bit

that whole crashing issue is sometimes a result of trying to run the game at an invalid resolution.
Download Ficedula's FF7Music utility, and run it at the same time as FF7. It'll have all the debug info in the console. Copy and paste that here using the

its working now, my patch was in the wrong language. stupid i know.
