Hello, i just found exactly what options causes the game crash.

Tweaks and Cheats -> disable mouse, skip cutscenes
animations -> 60 fps battles
Menu Overhaul -> Menu Overhaul

if i disable ALL of this options, the game launch without errors, but if i activate some of the options, the game crashes.

Why this happens? how i can use Menu Overhaul and 60 fps mod? can i install this mods in a permanent way without using 7thHeven?

Your FF7_GC.log is incomplete. Did you make a mistake in copying it all?

Yes i made a mistake, now is complete, sorry.

if i launch the game without 7thHeaven, using the original ff7.exe, it works.

Yes, since Mcindus told me he cannot support all languages (for obvious reasons) I've been investigating a little and the texture you're talking about is that one (however I don't know why is palletted with yellow):



BUT that confuses me. Why then it replaces certain letters? And the right ones, not another letter! I posted a screenshot in a previous post... here is it :D



I ALWAYS replaces "a" "e" "M" for example but never do it whith "S" "u"... and most of them hahaha. I editied Mcindus textures, specifically the "a" from "sysfld00_20.png" (the white fonts, and edited the a because is one of the replaced ones). Then I put it on Tonberry's textures folder and.... It works! The change is made! So it's actually using letters from that textures.

What do you guys think about this? Is it posible that the game uses some letter from a texture, and the rest from another...? There's something wrong here...

So you fixed the problem? i have the spanish version too, and the same problem.

Hello.

I played ff7 with bootleg a year ago and i wanna play the game again. I see that the version of bootleg is still 0.40, from 2012, so since a year ago there are no updates.

is the proyect dead? or no one is making or updating mods? :-(

ITX,
On some versions of Windows, UAC and DEP prevent Bootleg from writing directly to a system folder like C:\Program Files (x86)\Square Soft, Inc\Final Fantasy VII.
I recommend installing FF7 to a non-system folder like C:\Games\FF7.
Bootleg may well have failed to update the file in the system folder and instead saved the file to the virtual store.

Disable the 9999 Break patch in the Menu Overhaul installer.
Also make sure it's disabled in ff7_opengl.cfg

PitBrat, i think that is a fail in the bootleg.

i reinstalled the game from vanilla and then the bootleg again, and in menu overhail i choosed "menu without 9999 break patch", and in ff7_opengl.cfg is disabled too.

so i think in some point of the instalation, the 9999 break patch was installed by itself.

i dont want that patch and i dont select that patch in the BFE...

- i got a black border in the down part, but when i join into a battle the border dissapears and i can see the game perfect. im using 1360x768 fullscreen. how can i delete that border!
