I need everyones help. Yes I mean you guys, the ones whose posts I read and respond to and the ones that read and respond to mine, I.E. The daily users(maybe not daily but close enough)

We need ORGINIZATION!!! I need your help to get all projects going strong,I need your help to get all members without projects to get interested and active in some sort of project.
We all need to stick to some sort of format or plan for productivity.(Even if you only have 15 minutes a day to do this kind of stuff.)

I think maybe we should do something like this:

User A:I have 15 mins to work on my project mon-fri. I am working on X project and here are some pics of what I have done.

Now if we were in those shoes, which some of you may be, how would you go about handling this? I for one would do as follows...

I would set aside a certain time of the day when I'm sure to be home and unbusy, like maybe 10:00pm, when the time gets close, get ready to work on the project and work on it for 15 mins, I would do the same Mon-Fri and get decent results.
Now if we would all stick to this format in some sort of more dedicated way and promise to each other that we will do said things and everyone work together to achieve a common goal(which doesnt mean abandoning your project, to me our common goal is improving ff7 any way we can think of)But more so working together as one large team.

And as in ANY team there are roles to be played and work to be done.Teams do not communicate and loosely work together in the way these forums have served recently..Everyone is working very hard, we just aren't making the headway we could,don't you agree? If somehow we could make this a large team effort, with every member contributing, working at some sort of set pace(even if 15 mins a day) and reporting back with results on a somewhat regular basis.

As for inexperienced users that cannot really offer a helping hand, be willing to learn! The skills you learn here will carry with you for the rest of your life, and benefit you more than just sitting there anyway...
If you can't help because of inexperience, then instead of working on x project, spend your allotted time learning x skill....Im sure any regular member will be more than willing to help any other regular member learn anything they need to know...I know I will.

Give me some feedback and if we can get somewhere with this discussion then we will consider making a topic for what I stated above...

I have searched this entire forum and have also searched your site on sourceforge, considering your last release was in 08' I was wondering if you have made any headway with the project since then and was also wondering if I could get any technical data/ notes that you may have on the subject.

Also if you would like to guide me in a direction as to go...I will be more than glad to help you.

Mine's Michio Kaku, if you don't know him you should look him up. I would dedicate years of my life just to learn things from him, I have an I.Q. of 146 on a test that only scaled to 160 so I was in the 93rd percentile.This caused me to skip 2 grades in school etc.Anyway what I mean by this is VERY few people appear intellegent to me. I'm not saying everyone else is stupid, but all the skipping grades and I.Q. tests and gifted classes has given me an inflated ego, and I just don't feel like I could learn many things from very many people,and hardly ever will admit someones smarter than me(unless its true) But Michio Kaku is the smartest man on the freakin planet!

Lol I just watched too many Michio Kaku and Carl Sagan videos on youtube(Carl Sagan is OLD now compared to when he did Cosmos lol)

I so want to get a 3d engine and make it work with the data already present in FF7, I know this wouldnt be suitable for modding until the entire game is custom content(for ripping copyright reasons) But I sure would like to see how it turns out.

If anyone is interested in helping me achieve this lemme know....

And on second thought, if I set up the engine to run with the game files in a diff way and make it to where you have to add all the files yourself to certain directories, you would be ripping the content, so Its alright to release such a thing yes?

I often find myself with tons of unused power at my disposal. As in 4 ghz on 4 cores with 8 gb ram and 3x hd 5770 gfx cars(which have a 1 ghz clock and 1 gig of memory per card)
Needless to say, I can turn two of my cards into extra proccessors and ram, and assign them their own function, but thats really only useful in folding.

My question is since some of you say you have obscenely huge render times is that is there a way I can render them for you? With a system like described at idle most of the day, it just seems like a waste is all.

Example: Right now Im running 135 processes and am using 3% CPU and 13% ram lol(Remember I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64x)

I mean the animations for character movement and positioning, not spells and items,etc.
Also how would I go about messing around with them? Is there a way to mess with the camera? Just wanted to know...

When I did the dyne battle, barret was level 58 and all materias I had to that point were 1 star from master(Full level without duplication)This was possible cause I went back to junon on the ship and leveled with the alarm, and my goal was to master my current materias with force stealer + platinum bangle(both doubles) and equivilents on red and barrett.

Now every enemy is wayyyy to easy lol. Every boss battle you can just hold ok and have NO worries, Interested to see if it takes all the way till the weapons for the game to catch up to me.

After the tiny bronco crashes and hits the world map my game freezes due to wind.wav, I got around this with an unmodded ff7 with dyne, but I cannot get it to work here. Just reply here and pm me your e-mail and I'll send it right off(if someone does want to do it could you do it fast, I was sorta playin and waiting on my fav character,cid.)

I could rent out a building and we could have all kinds of pc equipment there and all of us work together at the same time and the crappier ones of us can learn from the better ones of us.

I have the newest aali's with enable speed fix, use stable timer, use alternate timer turned to yes. Why does g-bike run from start to end in 4 secs lol. I don't wanna play slam dunk for my gp.......

Looking ULTRA good right now, I'm talkin realism BEYOND BELIEF....maybe too much lol,to me ingame it just looks great, I mean GREAT.I only have the floor and most upper textures done, just need the second most upper, forebackground, and backbackground(termed it like that for lack of a better way of saying it, call the grammar nazis for this one)

I have been looking into the battle BG for the street fights near the Train..etc(Start of new game), and I'm sure this goes without saying, but I just tried to mess with starting the sha[es for the white/red arrow on the ground and the two zero's and square's artistry skills are very apparent.

Problem 1: If I make the image 2048x2048 and then zoom in most if the way until it shows a grid and do my editing from there the arrows and zero's come out EXTREMELY crooked.I want to redo them with the ruler and make them perfectly straight, does that sound good? Also the two 0's arent't the same, I would like to make the top one like the bottom one, do you guys agree?

Please know this is entirely theoretical and could not ever hold up in a court of law but...

I myself have purchased 4 copies of ff7 psx and one copy of pc in my lifetime, plus traded for extra discs when ppl lost one from their set.

Now if I were to lose ALL of my current discs and data, wouldn't I be entitled to download this program again and again anad again, since I've paid for it MANY times over?

Are the actual MODELS protected or just the textures?

And if the models are, if I loaded a ripped model and changed it by 15% or so wouldnt therfore become MY intellectual property?

This is a truly wonderful place, where I can feel like my "Final" Fantasy can come into fruition. Yet amongst all of these romantic and ambitious ideas and projects, one central theme has shown up time and time again: There are not enough ambitious people here trying to make the efforts put forth on these forums come into realization. I'm sure a few of the more serious and dedicated of you realize that with all the things that have been found out about the game over the years, and the stage of modding the game is at, that we could TOTALLY have the game redone in every needed way(no need to go crazy with it), in a year...

Some of the posts on here are from people having problems with all the content that is being put out, and that is perfectly understandable.2/3rd's of the posts are from people saying "I wanna do this", or "I wish I could do that" but they end up saying maybe they will learn programming/modelling/etc. To me this is a disturbing trend that has to be stopped now if the game is ever going to go anywhere.

Look people, square isnt going to remake this game anytime soon, and as loyal hard-paying fans of this series for half of our lives or more, I think we owe it to ourselves and the game to make it the best it can be.

I personally do not want to see any more I can't do it posts or I will learn it. If you are seriously interested in helping with anything,pm me here.I will respond quickly and help you with anything I personally can,and I wish anyone else on here would do the same.We ALL need to take our time to help our fellow modders(Or modders to be!) If you see a post and someone needs help,if you have ANY info on the subject, post it! Don't let the topic just sit there cause it didnt appeal to your interest... If we work together in a positive and helpfully effecient way, Anything could be done, we have the talent, we have the technology, so lets just f@#$in do it!

If anyone agrees with the points I have brought up, please post so thios issue can be discussed further.

The user in the vids uses a gil-changing PAR or gameshark code on the game and gets TONS of FREAKY results I did not know where possible.

As In you can control any texture in the game, the gelinka, ruby weapon, emerald weapon, junon cannon, underwater reactor, etc.

There are also multiple copies of the underwater areas.You can even talk to highwind members as cloud when your supposed to be tifa when clouds sick in mideel.
Not only that, you can control Red, and upon entering the room he is already scripted to be in, you start at his position, not the door...

Well I've been checking out all the projects that have been going on all these years while I have been quietly sitting in the background playing my psx version.

I stand to make a lot of money in october at harvest time...I have 5 acres of corn planted and have set up 4 85-gallon ethanol stills to proccess the grain.Anyways...

I was thinking of taking some of this profit and using it to fun a ff7 project...Yeah I know "what idiot would pay 1000$ to improve ff7 without any monetary return"
Well sirs, that Idiot would be me! I'll spend my time till harvest brushing up my programming skills and hunting for the right team of programmers to do this.

The question is....what should we work on? I like the q-gears project very much,but to me it's a step in a direction that wouldn't be sensible to me if I have to pay for services.The way I would like to take it is to first deconstruct the game...break it down and discover all the little workings,then do away with the entire old code and code the game in a way that would not only make it very compatible,but also EASILY modded.I'm talking mainly just drag-and-drop file replacement and stuff.

My ultimate goal would be to remake all the textures(not myself, but get the project to where someone else could do it easily)in the entire game and even change the way they are displayed and rendered. Hell multi-core and sli and crossfirex support would be nice too.I may be dreaming big...but I WILL fund 1000$ into this in october and see where it gets me...

This problem has been killing me for ages...searched EVERYWHERE(by hand, not with a search bar) and came up only with the links down below.

Here is a topic that seems LARGELY related to my problem however..I feel they explained it improperly..refer below the links for my explanation.

This is really confusing me...This happens with an unpatched game...patched to 1.02...then patched with aalis...then with ff7music...
The only fmv noise I seem to be missing is in the two small explosion fmvs(as you blow your way into midgar from 1st reactor,and the one where cloud falls at second reactor.

Now other than that...there is much more missing.As stated in this thread and the other threads I have provided, there is no sound when in the cave like area before blowing your way iunto midgar streets from reactor 1(no music, dripping sfx, or anything at all until you meet aries... oon top of the first train and when barret pounds his fist inside,or when you get to the bar in midgar and you make him mad dowstairs and he punches the bag really fast...no sound effect there

Also as stated above there is no sound for the Airbuster Techno-Soldier or the helicoptr right before the 2nd reactor explosion.

Edit: Ok I unintentionally lied, FF7music does work, but the volume is so loud you can barely hear the stuff..Plus I dont like the music in there.
I know you can play mp3's, but what about minipsf files attatched to a psflib(these are the sound files from the original psx game I own.They sound BEAUTIFUL and I really wish I could get them ingame with ff7 music cause that would be the GREATEST!

I started with the tifa errors cause I was gonna ask you what those are about, although they do not affect gameplay at any are...the movie actions are at the bottom.

It usually happens during dialog or something along those lines...It'll be running at 30fps and then suddenly drop to 20...(like in the dialog inside the train after the 1st reactor... It's very annoying because 30 to 20 is a HUGE drop in this game and makes the game retartedly laggy...
