Hey everyone,

At the beginning of the game, just after Cloud has jumped off of the train and landed on the ground, I receive the Error message "Oops! Something very bad happened", and am forced to shut down the game. It always happens the moment I'm about to gain control of Cloud.

I have looked this up, and the only plausible fix that I've been able to find; is trying to revert from my current version of 7th Heaven, which is 1.54, to an earlier version. I haven't tried this yet, 1. I'd rather not have to go through everything that comes with that, and 2. I couldn't find any previous versions available for download anyway.

I've also, on the odd occasion had a Windows error message appear "The instruction at 0x0091393b referenced memory at 0x00000085. The memory could not be written." This will usually take place just after the 7th Heaven error message.

I have looked this up too, and the fix for this is supposed to be setting the ff7.exe file as an exception for the Data Execution Prevention feature, which I have done.

I will attach my logs below, hopefully someone can help me.. :(

The reverting fix is only if you use 1.55 and the game crashes before you reach the New Game / Continue menu. It's not related to that since you can play through the opening movie to just before gaining control of Cloud off the train.

You are using Menu Overhaul, so do you have ff7_mo.exe set at Workshop -> Settings -> FF7 Exe? I ask this because you mentioned trying to set ff7.exe as an exception, rather than ff7_mo.exe.

You are amazing! I changed it to ff7_mo.exe and added it as an exception for Data Execution Prevention and the game is running! ^.^
Thank you so much.

Now I'm wondering, is there a place I can go that lists out and explains what every configuration for 7th Heaven does? There are a few that I'm not sure on.

Also I seem to have an imbalance with my screen resolution. The black border at the bottom of the screen is there, but not the top one. Is that normal?

Also, now that I have my main folder for FFVII under C:\Games, is it possible to Cut that entire folder to my games folder on my external hard drive and run it straight from there?
That being said; If I was to do a clean re-install of Windows. Could I still simply create a 7th Heaven shortcut from my folder on my external hard drive to the desktop, and pick up everything from where I left it off, without having to completely re-install Final Fantasy etc.?

Note: I moved the 7th Heaven folder and the FF7DISC1.ISO into my Final Fantasy folder.

Thanks in advance.
