Yes I did. And I'm assuming this is the right contents/file you were asking for:

So re-install without that model eh?

Update: Happened again, it seems to do that after my first attack? I had Red XIII use Sled Fang and the camera stayed stuck further away while the battle just continued on indefinately with the characters kind of doing their normal battle "stand-by" animations.

Troubleshooting / Yuffie doesn't... fight
« on: 2013-01-12 05:39:43 »
I didn't post this under a mod forum because I'm not sure which mod if at all is affecting this but I have bootleg installed and am using a lot of mods. Runs great, love the graphics and music but... I've encountered Yuffie in the Junon Area twice now and had to shut off the game. There's no freezing, no crash, game works fine... except for the fact that yuffie's weapon kinda vibrates/shifts around and she won't take her turn. My characters are waiting indefinately while the animations and music still continue... like Yuffie's supposed to take her turn to attack but instead of an attack, she does an eternal-stare move that forces you to lose by shutting your game off. I could just skip her but I wanted Yuffie in my party =(

Tried searching for this but all I find are Yuffie crash issues from the past.

Seems rather uncalled for. I'm completely new to these forums... but I typically try to read the one thread every forum has labelled: "The rules" or something along those lines. Your last post seemed to be a "Woe is me, no one is helping me" post that insinuated sexism as a motive somehow? It seemed like a right decision to block it from a third party perspective seeing as there would likely be no constructive or productive posts from that topic.

As for this post:
"Be courteous, polite and show respect to others. Use of the forums is a privilege, not a right. Being a d*ck may get you warned. It may get you moderated. You might get banned for being a d*ck. Even if you are right and someone else is wrong, keep things civil."

I think that rule applies to moderators being the victims as well.

Also: "Don't insult anyone. Report to a moderator if someone has insulted and/or threatened you. Responding in kind could get you warned as well."

Respect goes a long way. At least that's been my experience.

New to modding FF7, haven't even broken it out in years. This fixed it and now I'm enjoying the game in a brand new light! Thanks Kompass63.

To start off, I apologize if I have missed a thread that addresses this specific problem but I have not seen it nor have I been able to locate a fix for my problem. Whether it be through idiocy or inability to understand certain computer jargon, I haven't found a solution. I've installed my old platinum collection edition of FF7 on my computer successfully (running compatability mode on XP2 and etc.). I can play the default game fine, but here's my problem: After installing the game and BOOTLEG, and running it, the custom modded intro video runs fine, the custom default window on the "New game/ Load game" screen is fine, but once I select "new game" or once I go to select a saved game, it comes up with the error "Something really bad has happened, etc." The log it saves after the error looks like this:

Can anyone help me work this out? I've been a long-time FF7 fan and have only learned of BOOTLEG and the mods recently and I would love to play it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game twice. I've gotten it to run with some of the mods before but I think I was running an older version of BOOTLEG.
