It would of been nice if they intergrated Tetra Master in FFXI, give me something to do inbetween waiting for a party in Yuhtunga Jungle.

No, I mean it would be nice if it was in the actual game. They're two seperate programs.

Triple Triad would have been the better game IMHO

I like Tetra Master better. It was more complex, from the different card element types, to the leveling of cards to make them stronger, and right down to the diagonal ways to attack, not just up, down, left, and right. I felt it was a major improvement over Triple Triad, way more depth. The only reason I ever liked FF9, besides the other number of sidequests. Game kept me busy for hours like FF7.

While QuadMist / TetraMaster certainly has the merit of more depth, it also has a nasty element of randomness involved. In Triple Triad, the more advanced rules introduced an element of "even if you have bad cards, you can still win using skill". In QM/TM, the introduced element is rather one of "even if you have superior cards and do everything right, you can still get screwed over" - in other words, utter randomness. On its edge, it's like comparing chess and dice. When playing QM/TM, you get a feeling that luck has more influence over your chances of victory than skill.

QuadMist is what TetraMaster was called in the Japanese version of FF9.

Personally, I think Triple Triad was better because it's not only fun, but you could refine items from the cards! :D
