100 Things you didn't know about FF7
« on: 2013-07-13 22:07:09 »
I just happened across this video and thought it was pretty good. It contains some things I have never seen before, and is very interesting to watch.

Check it out and tell me what you think.

I knew most of these. Not all, but certainly most.

That's probably not a good thing.

I thought Conformer just always missed allies!

I've gotten some of those pre-emptives before, but never on BIRTH! lol

omg, Ruby WEAPON, no Victory glitch! haha.  Alright, well I think I watched enough of that. I'm satisfied with only a few crazy glitches being things I didn't know about.

I'm still arguing with the author about Blade Beam. There's nothing "magical" about it. I'm trying to determine why it doesn't trigger the physical counters.

I seem to remember you talking about the mechanics of Blade Beam months? a long time ago.  Have we yet determined what exactly it was that the programmers were smoking when they made this game?

Whatever it was, they must have... *puts on sunglasses* seen clouds...

I knew most of these, but some of them left me... actually impressed. Maybe I knew so many because I was on the forums NxK referred to in his video way before Qhimm, and, well, got to see some glitches.

I think what we're theorizing right now is that the Blade Beam's shockwave always activates even if there's no other targets. Blade Beam somehow delays physical counter attacks in favor of waiting until the shockwave is done, but since nothing gets hit by a shockwave the counter never activates.

I concuer with you as when I made the Sephiroth limit swap and modification.  I had to allow the second animation to play for the game to act normal.  Otherwise the game would not pull up the battle menu until it went off so you where stuck in combat with no way to continue.

There is even more about Blade Beam (and Finishing Touch). If used in conjunction with another glitch, these Limit Breaks may temporarily raise and reduce a random character's MP and HP count. I don't have any idea on how to explain that...
