Does anyone know which profile should I edit on nvidia inspector 1.9.6.6? I use the sdk on steam? Just would like to experiment with the nvidia options (yes I know I'm greedy but I do that with all games to see the difference). Is this possible? I noticed that the mod is installed in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods\BMS" but there's a hl2.exe in my "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\leonhartgr\source sdk base 2007" folder. When I try to associate the hl2.exe in that folder it doesn't allow it which means there is already a profile. but as I notice the default profiles are Half-Life 2 (associated .exe should be in half-life 2\hl2.exe. hl2.exe) some otheres for deathmatch, episode 1, episode 2, cinematic mod etc. and a half-life source (exe in half-life source\hl2.exe). But of course not Black mesa profile because it's new. I will do a research about this in black mesa forums. If someone knows he will save me much time. Thanks!

edit: Ok I figured it out. It was clearly the Half-Life 2 profile

Well for anyone interested I used those nvidia inspector settings and noticed some improvement with LOD -3000 and some other tweaking. Well all full in Black Mesa Video Options (yes even depth of field)

my specs:
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium x64-based PC
Intel® Core™ i5-2310 CPU @ 2.90GHz, 3101 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 8,00 GB
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti (306.23 win7 64bit drivers)
1.023,69 MB Adapter RAM

Runs really smooth! I'll make a video if any of you ask me to. If anyone has any suggestion please let me know.

Thanks!

Go figure, Portal and Half-Life are in the same universe, part of the same canon.

I wonder how well this will run on Wine. Probably pretty well, I've had very little trouble with anything else I've tried so far.

AM2R is looking closer to completion. With no news of MSR388 for the past two years (at least) we can probably assume the indefinite hiatus is going to linger (ala Homestar Runner).

There was a guy over on the am2r forums who claimed to be working on the project as the art director (or something like that).  He also brought up the programmer of Minitroid, who in turn showed his face in that thread.  It was less than a year ago I think, so who knows what the status of sr388 is.

You have my sympathies. Shall I go and hunt down the thief?

I just upgraded my video card from ATI Radeon HD 5670 to ATI Radeon HD 6770. Now I can fully enjoy Black Mesa.

Use cinematic mod if you play HL2.

Lol no. It's a completely different game, the new music is out of place and excessively dramatic, and the new character models don't fit the voices at all.

What graphical improvement do you suggest instead... I thought there's been a lot of effort invested in cinematic mod.

Oh there's been a TON of effort. It's almost professional level work. It just doesn't match the tone or feel of Half-Life 2 at all. I'd rather play the game unmodded.

That said Half-Life 2 Update is pretty good, but it hasn't worked with the game since the Steam Pipeline update; the next version (whenever it comes) should fix that.

I'll be looking forward to that fix then... though my game queue list is quite out of schedule... :D
