Troubleshooting / 7th Heaven won't download 2 mods

For some reason I was able to download every mod I wanted using 7th Heaven, except for Menu, avatars and backdrops, and spell textures. Both show up as 2 files when I try to download. The main file, and a patch. The problem I'm having with these 2 mods that I didn't have with any of the others if that the main file downloads fine, but the patch does not. Even if I wait forever it just hangs on "Calculating...". In the main post for 7th Heaven it says to cancel downloads that hang or don't work, but when I do this is actually cancels it and I have to try it again. The patch never seems to go through no matter how many times I try it. I even restarted the computer a few times. I'd like to know if there's a way to fix this before I continue to waste 1.5GB of data every time for nothing. Is there somewhere I can download those 2 mods manually and add them to 7th Heaven? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Graphical / Looking for battle weapon mods

I have installed the ones I want for Cloud, but I have been trying to find some for the other characters, mainly Cid and Vincent. It would be nice to get Tifa, Yuffie and Barrett too. Iv'e looked around but found only some for Caith Sith and Aeris, both of which I never use. Any help with a link would be greatly appreciated.

Troubleshooting / English re translation question

I have been playing the English re translated version installed by Tifa's bootleg pack, and I noticed that the text was different at the start of the game, but since I think Junon (I'm at Wutai now) the text has been the same as the vanilla version. Did the re translation project stop there or might it have installed wrong? Does the translation continue later on in the game? I appoligize if this has already been answered before, but I seriously tried to search for info about this before I made this topic, but I found nothing.

Troubleshooting / FF7 slight jerkiness in framerate

 Hey everyone, I'm new to this site but I am a longtime FF7 fan! I bought the original on PS1 at launch and still have that very same copy in mint condition, I've beat the game dozens of times.

Anyway, I'm fairly new to the modded PC version. I recently installed the Tifa's mod pack with the whole nine yards, and I must say the game looks beautiful! It works great so far and I'm currently close to 10 hours in and am at the Chocobo ranch. It's been a nearly 100% perfect experience so far, except that I've noticed that there's some jerkiness in all parts that run at 30fps. For example when I'm running around in towns, or on the world map. It runs perfectly smooth in the menus at 60fps, and even in the battles at 15fps. The motorbike mini game in Midgar was super smooth at 60fps! I only really notice it when the screen scrolls sideways like when walking in a town for example, it just has a slight jerkiness to it, but the framerate in the counter never goes below 30fps. The same thing in the world map, if I rotate the camera in a circle I notice some slight jerkiness and again the framerate counter stays stable at 30fps.

I'm wondering if there's a setting I need to change in the opengl.cfg? Or maybe the game is just programmed this way and does that to everyone regardless of specs and settings? I'm sure that my computer is fully capable of handling the game and then some. My specs are:
i5 760 quad core 2.8ghz
Radeon HD5770 1GB GDDR5 RAM
8GB DDR3 RAM
Running the game at 1280 by 720p because my TV is a 32" 720P.

So any help would be greatly appreciated, and sorry if this is a common question that has already been answered. I tried to find answers in the previous topics but I might have overlooked some because I don't fully understand the site yet.
