General Discussion / Unreal Engine 5 explained by developers

We are living in a great era for game developers and artists. You no longer need to be part of a huge greedy studio to develop your ideas and Art in videogames. You just need a handful of talented people, or you can even just do it yourself if you are a control freak. Still always remember to have all the legal stuff in order because you never know what will happen to your team. 

Unreal Engine 5, is free to use, but you have to pay them 5% if your game succeeds.

General Discussion / FF7 "Prelude" special feeling still haven't faded..

I remember the first time I heard it and what I felt, I'm happy to say this song still gives me that very special feeling. FF7 The Prelude, oh what a master piece. This song can really transport me into a very special place. It takes me to a whole other world, a very special place I created as refuge from my life. I know this are only fantasies but I don't really care. I feel like I'm capable of doing anything, I feel like I could help anyone and that I'm defeating all evil and negative things from this world. I often have left this song in loop for hours and just let my emotion and imagination the control. It gently removes all my pain and fills me with a new sense of hope and awareness. I just wish I could take you there, I know you could appreciate it.

Troubleshooting / FFVII Black Screen

Hello, it's been a while and I wanted to play a this game again, but now I can't seem to get it to work. I patched 1.02 and used latest 0.8 aali's driver, but when I start the game I get a black screen, press enter it gets me to New Game-Continue screen, press New Game and eternal black screen. I don't see any app.log, to post, like it was never created, where should that be showing? I don't know what to do. I use win7 64bit, nvidia.

Completely Unrelated / Metal Gear Solid PC Problem

Hello, im having a mayor problem with this game, the gameplay is perfect but in the scenes of real life footage the screen goes blue, i can still hear the sound though and the video can pass and i can play fine but still really sucks.

I tried all the settings but all end the same, i also tried win 98 comp. Im playing this game in windows xp.


Does anyone know of a fix for this?

Completely Unrelated / resident evil 3 for PC looks shattered

Hello, im trying to play resident evil 3 on my pc but i get this shattered image when using a high resolution. They go away when using the minimum resolution and 16 bits. I recall someone with this problem on the forums but with a final fantasy game, perhaps the solution is the same?

Is there a way to play high resolution without this lines?

I noticed that it also happens when trying to use antialiasing in the nvidia control panel, this makes it look bad even with the lowest resolution.

I use winxp sp2.

Hello, im currently using "ff7_opengl-0.6.10b" to resize ff but i cant seem to find the mod that remake the combat box, the one where "Time" and "Limit" bars are

this are contrast caps of what im tlkin about
