The forum has been upgraded to a new server. Please let us know if there are any unintended side effects.

Seems good so far. I haven't had any messages about server stress yet  :)

A good way to thank Qhimm would be to donate to help fund the new server. I don't know exact numbers, but as it's a VPS instead of shared hosting, it's almost certainly more expensive than the old one.

Pffft, who needs a spellchecker?

Me actually, Dyspraxia is fun like that.

When viewing the site on mobile, it appears the tapatalk banner/ad/popup is missing its styling. Not a huge deal, but noticeable, the site has been pretty stable since the upgrade on my end

I've had a few people write to me on YT that they are unable to register for the forums, even when trying multiple email accounts.

I registered someone manually who was having trouble. I figured it was just him; I'll try and get in touch with Qhimm and see if we can't get this worked out; whatever the problem is, it's not immediately apparent.

Edit: It's almost certainly related to one of our anti-spam plugins, and has nothing to do with the server move. We can't really disable these plugins; that would cause all manner of chaos, but anyone with such an issue is free to shoot an email to Covarr, gmail, and I'll gladly make 'em an account manually.

It appears the password reset feature is down too. Thanks to Covarr for helping me change mine.

What's wrong with the wiki?  :o
It spams some warning messages.

The wiki doesn't like history pages either. I can't see what things change.

Wiki does no more produce loads of warnings, nut only the main page is functional. Any other section or article is blank. :(

It seems if you edit a page, it will show up again. I've done this on two "blank" pages and I can see them now.

There are still a ton of pages that don't look blank.

I live in Central Time Zone (-6) so why is it that in order to get the correct time i have to set it to -1 which is Greenwich Mean Time Zone, that alone makes no sense

Any specific images you are looking for?
A long time ago I exported the wiki into a pdf just before the old providers were becoming unstable.
You can find it here.

I have a request regarding the Karma system. While it looks at first logical to be able to have negative Karma, it is from the psychological point of view unhealthy. It may even motivate trolls to be rude so they can increase their negative Karma. It also brands people, which may prevents that they get help from us when they really could need it. So I would appreciate it if the lowest Karma is '0'  and only an admin can see if it is negative or not, if necessary.
The world is bad enough already, so I don't need to see on a forum how bad I am.

That at last are my thoughts in that matter.

Unfortunately, SMF's karma system does not have such a feature. I may disable it entirely, but I'll have to think about it; Karma is also especially useful for new users to know whose answers have the most weight with troubleshooting questions and whatnot.

If at all possible, limiting it to 0 would be nice. But, I personally don't want it to go, period. What Cavarr says holds the same value for me. High karma users are helpful when searching responses or asking questions for others to answer.

Does simple machines have a module/capability for a mobile view -- because that would be pretty cool
