This mod is a simple addon for Caledor's Italian ReTranslation mod (you can find it here (https://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=18903)). It provides compatibility with [Tsunamods] Enhanced Stock UI, other UIs and other mods (such as Kaldarasha's Resize Project).

This addon will complete the translation by translating the english UI elements from ESUI.

DISCLAIMER: This will probably be the final version of this mod.
As Caledor original ReTranslation mod now supports 7th Heaven with its own iro file and Tsunamods natively, there's no need for this port to continue updating as it would just reiterate what the original mod already does (better, I may add, as it is cared by its own original author). What will still be useful is the ESUI Italian ReTranslation Addon, which translates ESUI in Italian regardless of the ReTranslation mod being used or not.


Requirements:
  • Any Final Fantasy VII installation compatible with 7th Heaven
  • 7th Heaven

  • Game fully translated into Italian
  • Compatibility with Enhanced Stock UI by Chrysalis/Alyza
  • Original sadNEScity translation available (for nostalgic purposes)
  • Supports pretty much any .iros (with some exceptions, see "Known Issues" below)

How to Install:
  • Follow the standard 7th Heaven installation process
  • On 7th Heaven, install the Italian ReTranslation .iro file using the "Import" function
  • Auto-sort the list, but be sure to put the Italian ReTranslation BELOW "Enhanced Stock UI" (if used)
  • Check mod configurations for more tuning (choose your translation and ESUI compatibility)
  • OPTIONAL: Add "ESUI Italian ReTranslation Addon" to translate missing UI elements from ESUI. Be sure to put the Addon ABOVE "Enhanced Stock UI".

Known Issues:
  • As the mod is still being worked on, some crashes are expected. Some users reported to be able to circumvent some of the crashes by switching to sadNEScity mode.
  • Any mod that modifies "flevel.lgp" is not compatible with the Italian ReTransaltion. This includes The Resize Project.
  • The "Buy Sell Exit" options with ESUI compatibility mode on are not transalted. Otherwhise they're translated but slightly uncentered.
  • Any mod that "enhances" UI graphics, like "Minigames", overwrites the Italian version. Be sure to toggle the Textures sub-options "off" of these mods to preserve the translation.
  • Tsunamods Menu and Fonts Texture support is limited. There's actually no need to use this mod with that as Caledor's original one is now compatible with 7th Heaven and supports it natively.

ATTENZIONE: L'immagine utilizzata nell'esempio sovrastante serve solo a dimostrare una versione del gioco modificata tramite 7th Heaven con la RiTraduzione Italiana attiva. Questa mod NON include miglioramenti all'IU, ai modelli di gioco o alle texture degli scenari.

Questo addon completerà la traduzione comprendendo anche gli elementi dell'interfaccia utente di ESUI.

ATTENZIONE: Questa sarà in tutta probabilità l'ultima versione di questa mod.
Dato che la RiTraduzione originale di Caledor adesso supporta sia 7th Heaven con un proprio file .iro che il tool di Tsunamods, non c'è più alcun bisogno di continuare ad aggiornare questo port in quanto ripeterebbe soltanto ciò che la mod originale già può fare di suo (e che fa meglio, aggiungerei, essendo gestita dal suo autore originale). L'unica cosa che rimarrà utile sarà lo ESUI Italian ReTranslation Addon, che traduce gli elementi grafici di ESUI indipendentemente dalla presenza di qualunque altra mod.

  • Supporta praticamente qualunque .iro (con alcune eccezioni, vedi "Problemi Noti" più in basso)

Come Installare:
  • Segui la classica procedura di installazione di 7th Heaven
  • Da 7th Heaven installa il file .iro della RiTraduzione Italiana utilizzando la funzione "Importa"
  • Puoi tranquillamente affidarti all'auto-ordinamento della lista, ma ricorda di inserire la RiTraduzione SOTTO "Enhanced Stock UI" (se ne fai uso)
  • Controlla la configurazione della mod per maggiori dettagli (come scegliere quale traduzione usare o se attivare la compatibilità con Enhanced Stock UI)
  • OPZIONALE: Aggiungi "ESUI Italian ReTranslation Addon" per tradurre gli elementi dell'IU di ESUI rimasti in inglese. Assicurati di posizionarlo SOPRA "Enhanced Stock UI".

Problemi Noti:
  • Poiché la mod è ancora in lavorazione vi è la possibilità si verifichino alcuni crash. Degli utenti hanno riportato che alcuni di questi sono evitabili però passando temporaneamente alla traduzione di sadNEScity.
  • Tutte le mod che modificano "flevel.lgp" non sono compatibili con la RiTraduzione Italiana. Questo include Resize Project e New Threat.
  • Le opzioni "Buy Sell Exit" dei negozi non risultano tradotte se si attiva la compatibilità con ESUI; se si gioca senza ESUI risultano invece tradotte, ma leggermente decentrate.
  • Una qualunque mod che "migliora" la grafica di elementi dell'IU (come ad esempio "Minigames") va a sovrascrivere la traduzione Italiana. Assicurati di disattivare le modifiche alle texture di queste mod se intendi usarle mantenendo la traduzione italiana.
  • La compatibilità con la mod "Tsunamods Menu and Fonts Texture" è solo parziale. In realtà non c'è alcun bisogno di usare questo port con quella mod in quanto è perfettamente supportata dall'originale RiTraduzione di Caledor.

You need to credit me and others for far more than that.  Not only that, did you get permission to do this from Caledor?

Absolutely yes. I would never post this without his consent.

For the credits section I was reworking it time and time again, adding people. I do not want to leave anyone uncredited. I though that adding the "Everyone originally credited by Caledor for the original Italian ReTranslation Project in their respective roles" line could have been enough, but if you believe that it is not sufficient then I'll copy his own credits 1:1.

EDIT: Yep, the problem was probably some loose files inside the mod. Should be fixed now. Please download version 1.01b from main post (it also includes the latest changes to the original retranslation).

Nope, the problem is on me as I can replicate that.
I'll look into it for the next update (I was working on it as the original retranslation just got an update).
It's strange because the glitch happens to use a texture that shouldn't be present inside the mod at all, so there must be some loose files around.

I'll suggest you to use a field model mod in the meantime (there's the "ninostyle chibi field models" if you want to mantain the original sd aesthethic).

EDIT: It seems to be a problem only for version 1.01, i'll re-upload version 1.0 while I work on 1.01b.

Hi,
I would like to report a problem; the game crashes in Cosmo Canyon when i try to enter the door in front of the bonfire.
I already tried disabling all the mods and leaving active only this one .
The problem occurs with 1.0, 1.01 and 1.01b selecting the translation of caledor no problem with translation of sadNEScITy  .

Version 1.01c released two times in a row, as the first one was an incomplete version I mistakenly uploaded (which doesn't contain the Nibel fix). If you've downloaded the file in the time interval between the two uploads you are maybe using the broken one. With the newest version (which should be 415.592.240 byte in filesize, if you look at the properties) I'm not able to replicate the error anymore. If you're positive you're using the latest version and still have the problem could you please provide the nearest savefile?

At which point exactly? I tried loading a save made just before entering Kalm, entering the village and going straight to the inn to trigger the flashback, and it started with no issue whatsoever (i would argue that even the other user, sguancho, must've been able to pass that part safely as he progressed up until Mt.Nibel).

I honestly don't know how to help with the Kalm problem, I installed the mod after going through the swamp with the giant snake.
Apart from the 2 errors reported so far, everything is ok; for now I have played the village of Cid and Wutai, now I am at the gold source.
If I have to find other problems I will report them (I'm thinking of doing a complete run, a bit of nostalgia after ff7r, but it will take a long time).

I can start a new game in next days and see for Kalm problem, or, can you give me savegame before enter Kalm?

Just the flashback did't started.
When I was at Kalm I had the old version. I did't tried with the new one.
I tried twice and it blocked, I switched to sadnes and was ok.

If is just me maybe it was casual or caused by other mods.

Maybe I'm not understanding the problem here.

I've run your savegame, using the save in the first slot, with a fully modded game, and no lines or scene was missing at all.

Then I've started the game again using only the translation as active mod and keeping the game side by side with the video and, again, the two looked identical (aside the language, of course). Everything that appeared on the video was in the game.

That's strange, even with that mod activated I have no problems, but again, that particular mod is quite the troublemaker (there's a new version coming out soon because of that) and can be set in a million ways. Well, I managed to replicate the problem.

When I first tried using a fully modded version of the game and had no problems before, I was using Ninostyle models as Field Models.

You are (or were, as I see you've deactivated the mod) using Kaldarasha's.

So I've tried swapping the mod settings to Kaldarasha's models and that was it, the dialogue doesn't show anymore in that particular scene.
Swapping again to Ninostyle models solved the problem.

That said, even if you deactivate the retranslation the dialogue doesn't show anyway, so the problem is linked to the Field Models mod only, so I can't do anything about it. As I said the authors of the mod are perfectly aware it has a lot of strange problems, and are working to fix it.

I confirmed it doesn't happen when the mod is deactivated.
...and well, this is a strange one.

Whatever the chocobo is initially said to be, it actually is, but when you get a new chocobo the older one gets "regendered", usually (but not always) the same as the old one.
BUT it is still what it originally was.

Example:
1. Get a Choco -> It's a Female -> I name it "ChocoA" -> Go check, it gave me "female". All right.
2. Get another Choco -> It's a Male -> I name it "ChocoB" -> Go check, it says "male"... all right? Nope, now ChocoA is said to be a male too!
3. Try to breed them.
4. It actually works and the female acts as the female, even if it is branded as "male".
5. Sometimes trying to breed them corrects the labels. Sometimes it doesn't.

That's... strange. I'll try changing some things and see, but this one could take a while.

In the meantime: the breeding game itself seems to work, even if the Chocobos gets mis-labeled, so I suggest you to give each Chocobo a pretty recognizable name, so you can remember which one is a male and which one is a female (Ugo and Pina - ChocoM and ChocoF - Cocco and Cocca, etc.) and keep playing.

EDIT: Seems to be a problem coming from the original ReTranslation. I'll try ask Caledor about it.

That's exactly what I did.

I used recognizable names and in the end I got the Golden Chocobo.

I saw that the problem occurs in particular on the first two stables (maybe random ?? I don't know)

What happens is that the first stable on the right copies the sex of the last seen chocobo (either catched or from another stable) due to a leftover in the code from a past failed experiment of mine.

I have restored the original portion of the code and updated my pack, thank you both sguancho and Khrone for the extremely detailed reports, they've been very useful!

Good day, I have installed the mod present in this page, due to the fact that I use the italian translation made by Calendor, but if I activate the ESUI window layout, all the writings present in the screen are too much stretched to the right and goes out of the screen. I was trying to add here a screenshot of the issue, but it is not possible.

Another problem found on the Calendor translation mod, is when you check the first Turtle Paradise flyer, as the window related is not showing. Same issue happend when you, in Wall Market, try to look at the vending machine inside the inn (to solve the quest related to the guy present in the Materia store).

I have installed even "Finishing Touch" as the mod report it as compatible, with ESUI base.
