They could even take it to outlandish levels and sell Equipment, Materia, AP., EXP, stat boosts, etc for a fee.

Square Enix listed the digital download as £7.99/€9.99.

It wouldn't be the first time Square Enix has considered releasing the game on Steam. Steam registry entries for Final Fantasy 7 and 8 were discovered in June last year.

I stumbled across a gem of a game today at kongregate.com, titled Abobo's Big Adventure.

This is the most successful NES crossover implementation I have ever seen. This game has everything. Epic cameos from every NES character imaginable, 10 or so different NES "worlds" to explore.(Worlds are basically a clone of the NES game it belongs to, with awesome differences) Awesome moves, Extreme yet very well used gore.

I cant rave about this game enough. I jsut beat it and it was unlike anything Ive played in years. The basic story is that you are Abobo(boss from Double Dragon) and someone has kidnapped you son, Aboboy. You strike out on a quest to rescue him from his captor. Along the way, you play through 10 NES Games with cameos from Hundreds of characters all along the way. The characters can be friendly, enemies, even bosses. Some of your favorite NES titles are covered here. Double Dragon, Zelda, Megaman, Punchout, Contra, Mario, and many others. Please check it out and let me know what you think.

I really enjoy all the criticism, it is exactly what I was looking for, I shall spend a bit more time on second part(partly because I suck at Tyson) and I will definitely take all your points into consideration when making the next vid. I sort of enjoyed the widescreen and HQ4X, but I may just go with HQ2x and no widescreen( I wondered if it would look appropriate.)

Ill post when I get the next video up. Maybe a few days.

What's up guys. Ive started doing LP's recently, and I have one up on youtube. I would greatly appreciate any comments or suggestions you could leave me, I want to be very succesful with my LP'S and I would like any criticism so that I may improve.

I shall have a title screen one day, but Im not that good at making NEW video assets. If anyone cares enough to make me a short intro piece that say Gamermann - Let's Play, or something similar, I would gladly accept it lol.

Anyway, here is my first LP, I did not practice the game or the narration, its all a first draft. Let me know what I should change.

As you guys know Im an avid member of overclock.net and follow hardware news there routinely.
In the past few days Bulldozer Chips have been showing up in very odd ways(before the NDA lift) on many websites.

Shortly after this, we got our first look at the leaked press kit. A day later, we have leaked Benches from PCM, although they were clearly not run under ideal conditions, as indicated by the material in the original source article.

When this information was discovered, it took about 2 hours for PCM to pull it down, apparently threatened by the attention they were getting, and afraid of what action AMD may take for them breaching the terms of the NDA.

Since the source was pulled, many people can not get the benches that were shown, but a member of Overclock.net, Olivion,  compiled this list so that others can see for themselves.

I wanted BD to be a real competitor more than anyone, but you have to admit, AMD has made STRIDES since the Phenom. Hopefully we will get some serious competition between the two camps in 1-2 more generations of chips, because AMD's next move will only slightly increase the performance of Bulldozer, much Like Ivy Bridge will for Sandy.

Please let me know what you think of these scores, and what you think about the bulldozer chip.

Using extreme levels of filters and AA definately has its drawbacks, but it is refreshing to see the rounded geometry when the model is more suitable for it. The ones that have the most problems are EXTREMELY low poly,  but if you take it with a grain of salt, most other things look wonderful.

There are some major drawbacks in some games. For instance, in legend of dragoon, when using high AA, any object that is part of the foreground develops thick blue lines against the background, making much of the game's scenes look very ugly, with only slightly better looking models.

Thanks for that information Covarr, Now we know Nvidia has no problem with this. Also I havent tried any regional variants or (J) games, but my time for emulation has been limited as of late.

Also Im basically talking out of my ass because I moved to california and sold any sweet hardware I have, Id love to say I still have the 3 6970's, but sadly I now just have one :(. I dont even have enough budget to offord bulldozer, who interestingly enough beat out the 2500k in Official MT benches, but was destroyed in the ST tests. Im getting off topic, Ill make a thread of it. Sorry about that guys.

Anyways Ive really enjoyed the emulation discussion, Any info anyone has on Advanced filters and shaders, and crazy new ways to improve the graphics, lemme know.

Yes epsxe definately does it, if you want really extreme results, make sure your internal resolution is as high as you can muster, extend your vram, and make sure you have good framebuffer settings(im sure you know all of this,just dont cheap out on any of your graphical options.) Ive been away from my house for a few days but when I go back I will take comparison pics going from ps1 native, to ps1 enhanced with filters, to ps1 with filters and AA. Thanks for you info though, all I have played on pcsx2 is FFX, and their models are in pretty good shape, so you wouldnt really see any deformation anyway...

Trust me, you may not think you can force AA in these emus, but its possible. Not to say I havent had to do some (crap) hacks to get it pulled off but when I get back to my pc I will take some funny Screenshots.

Examples will be Mario's perfectly hemispherical butt in SM64(as I said the extreme AA rounds everything off, and mario's model winds up looking very funny) Or many games in Epsxe.

Also to covarr, you said you would like Epsxe until you ran up on one of the handful of games it refuses to run... I dont understand this. I have the entire psx collection(1.5 TB) and have played everything through Epsxe. I believe the only games I couldnt get to work were Amazing Virtual Sea Monkeys(Ill play ANY title I havent tried once, you find gems that way) and Matt Hoffmans Pro Bmx, And I believe this was from file corruption rather than them being broken... I have been wrong many times in the past before though.

To the other fellow who said you cant force in Pcsx2.... You know that I use the directx plugin right? How in the world could I possibly use any direct x programs and not have my AF forced. Im not really sure how forcing works, but Its not just for new games. Ive taken countless OLD OLD 3d titles and brought them up to PS2 quality graphics with extreme resolutions mixed with high levels of AA, Anisotropy, and Filters.

I have seen the physical change in the models of the games I play with. Remember how blocky cloud is on PSX? I can show you cloud in ALL his round glory, his hands are balls(like fists) and every part of his clothing and limbs are rounded off in a much more appealing manner.

With my 4.0ghz Phenom II and 3 6970's, I usually max out every graphics option, filters, etc, at insane resolutions, with 24xEq Edge-Detect Super Sample AA, 16x Anisotropy, and all the other goodies.

This does however make many models look very funny(for example the first girl you get in Legend Of Dragoon) As the extreme level of AA can do some very interesting things to less complex models.

As far as the framerate on older 3d systems I find it is best to increase the frames by 15%. Older 3d games have really bad animation, and the subtle increase in frame speed makes the animations look much more fluid.

Ok PITBrat, I installed using your bootleg, and nothing. I got some high res fields, HQ aerith, Hardcore(after a self fix) and menu overhaul to work.

Any thing that went in the Textures folder does not work,(such as avatars, new limit textures, kelas blue limit, etc
) and I can not get romeos colored items, materia, and the parchment world map to work.


I then noticed you had a new bootleg up, so I uninstalled FF7 and reinstalled and used your new bootleg. I have all available files, even ones im not *supposed* to have(like apz cloud) and yet again the installation didnt quite work as intended.

Also Pit, I have noticed everytime I reinstall the bootleg with aali's opengl 7.11 and upon install bootleg has installed 7.10b????? I always have to manually install 7.11 over it. I make sure to keep the config file laid out correctly, but I cannot get half of these mods to work.

At this rate Ill never get a lets play up containing every mod from this community, which is what Id very much like to do. If anyone can offer any assistance on this matter, please do so.

See that? why is it reversing the slashes there, thereby making it impossible to use any mods via the modpath?
also its treating the texture folder the same way I would guess, because I can get no mods within it to work as well.

I believe you are thinking about millenias battle scenes. While unreleased, I feel his battle floor is severely GAUDY and need a lot of work, however, the rest of his scene is a work of artistry.

Here is the link for My Original Battle-scene Enhancement thread. If you read through it you can find many alpha stage files, including my opac and opad textures. You can also see millenis work.

I will post the textures later today, and I am now starting work on the project once more.

Those are my textures of OPAC and OPAD....... I hereby give permission to PitBrat to Include ANY of my future work in his installer, and Anyone else owning mods should do the same. Pitbrat obviously has spent a LOT of time on this, and hes doing the community a MUCH NEEDED favor.

It would be beneficial if the mod owners allowed him to make an Installer with the files inside his installer, instead of needing bootleg.exe. btw Pitbrat, you can do this with anything I make. I have messaged Felix_Leonhart and am wanting to collaborate on some more battle enhancements.So when I complete some more, you can include those as well.

I CAN NOT get kela's blue limit to work, Ive even tried installing to the mod folder directily, I guess Ill have to try and rebuild an LGP with kela's in it.

Ok I tried this and half the stuff is working and half the stuff is not... I dont know what to do here or even how to begin to explain what all is there/missing.

The hardcore mod didnt work, even though the bootleg brought me the installer and I installed it correctly,hq aerith didnt work if its a field model, I dont think the fmv restoration worked, save point changing and blue limit mod didnt work, and some other things didnt work.

What did work was the menu overhaul, the remix patcher, colored items, and a few others.

Edit: Im stupid, I wasnt running hardcore mode, also, Im reinstalling with notes this time, we'll see how it goes

I would also like to request you add in Darkfangs Transparent avatars
