FF related question

1) What is Nobuo Uematsu's first ever work for final fantasy?

2) Where can I encounter mabloros in disc 2 in FF8?

I don't think you can get there on disc 2 (you need Ragnarok).  You might be able to encounter Malboros if can get close enough to Esthar (never tried) but if you want Malboro Tentacles you can also get those by refining them from Malboro cards which aren't too hard to come across.  I think it takes like 6 of them though.

Actually the prelude was the last melody that Uematsu made for FF1.  Sakaguchi wanted him to do one more melody to fit in the beginning of the game.  So he had to come up with it fast, because Sakaguchi wanted it right away.  It took him 10 minutes, and that melody is the theme song for Final Fantasy now.

Edit:  As for Joey's question, I think the world theme in FF1 was his first work.  I read that he likes to do the main theme first because that's the hardest.

Yeah if you want malboro tentacles you can mod them from cards. It is not possible to meet them (malboros) in disc2.
It is possible to meet them in Island closest to heaven/ Island closest to Hell.
Or if you want tentacles you can also do it in early disc3 south of esthar city.
Since now you are in disc2 I can teach you a trick to draw one of the best spells in the game. Get Tonberry King (I presume you know how to acquire it). Equip the GF to someone. Be sure to have the command LV UP, LV DOWN and DRAW on the character that you have equipped it to. Equip Mag +??% to two characters. Go outside Edea's orphanage house. Wander around the forest nearby. When you have encountered a Ruby Dragon (It will take some time!) , kill off one of your characters (the unequipped one). Start LVLing up the dragon...... and draw Meteor and Flare! (using both your chars). Be sure to heal them (your chars) often.   Escape/ Kill the dragon after you are satisfied with your spells. Do this twice/thrice, and you should have stocked 400-600 Meteors and Flares.

Actually, It might be possible.  I've done literal "island hopping" in the Garden before..... just go forward full throttle and you can sometimes get carried right over the gaps to the other side.

It's one of those "why-didn't-I-think-of-that-before" things.

Have you done it b4 goku? I have thought of that b4, nope... couldn't work despite a lot of attempts.

You can island hop with the garden, but you can't get anywhere you couldn't already get.  Even if you can, I've tried to get to where the Malboros are ..... and you can't.  At least I couldn't.

How do you defeat level 80 ruby dragons?

I still can't find any malboros....

oh... for the love of ...... dont tell me that youre left 80! if so.... START OVER!!!!  otherwise, get the tonberry king and level them down.

Ok, my Squall was LV7 and my Rinoa was at LV9 when I was drawing 100 flares and meteors from a LV100 ruby dragon... sweet  
Trick? Well, I did told you to KILL OFF one of your char. Ruby dragon becomes 'stupid' and uses weak attacks like Fira and claw swipe (rare). So, just draw!!!
Don't kill them. It will take a long time esp. when my squall is at lv 7...
Edit - It is possible to kill off ruby dragon in one ROUND. Use Quistis'degenerator to kill ruby dragon in one round. (My quistis was at her lowest level when I killed off a ruby dragon in Island Closest to hell   )
