Site downtime
« on: 2002-11-20 17:24:30 »
The site was down for at least 12 hours last night, apparently due to a corrupted configuration file. I apologize for any trouble caused by this, but also claim there just isn't much I can do about it.

Also, I recently upgraded phpBB to version 2.0.3. Unfortunately, this seems to have completely broken compatibility with newer Netscape versions (don't know why). I'm looking into this.

What has MS got to do with Netscape Incompatibility? If IE would be incompatible, I would understand that.

BTW: My homepage isn't very compatible with Netscape, too. Gotta do something 'bout it...  -_-

Damn you noncomformists! MS rules the world, get over it and comply with the superior rulers at MS!

I swear, MS didn't even make the standards but of course, if they wanna change the way things work, they throw their weight around to make sure programs like Netscape aren't as compatable as their own IE

Wasn't netscape bought out by AOL anyways? You're sinking to that low level just by clicking that "Nutscrape Navigator" icon. MSIE is crap, crap, and more crap, but I really don't mind using it. It's bad enough you're using windows on your computer, so why rock the boat about an internet browser?

AFAIK its banner-financed. I hate banners in applications...

I sometimes use Mozilla, a new freeware browser. Pretty good for me...

I support Netscape because I don't like Internet Exploder.

So why not use Mozilla then? Since, AFAIK, the latest version of Netscape IS just Mozilla with a different frontend glued onto it...

Internet Exploder?
Hm,  that sound like a new DoS-Attack, heh

BTW: www.alhexx.com is rendered almost perfectly by Mozilla 1.0, but Netscape 6.2 has got a lot of problems...

 - Edit -
Correction: It works pretty fine with Netscape 6.2, too, but it doesn't with Netscape 4.x ...
