[Split] 1.02 + Intel Graphics

I'm not sure if the 1.02 patch woudl help me any...I'm running in software mode at 640x480, and I'm getting a bit of slowdown...which I shouldn't be considering that my system specs should be able to devour FF7 alive.
1 gigahertz Celeron processor
128 MB RAM
Running on Windows XP Home Edition
Not sure about my video card...I think it's just some standard Intel thing.
I'm pretty sure it supports Direct3D and such...after all, I'm able to run newer, much more demanding games with no problem or slowdown at all.

Mod Edit: Split from this topic.

That would be your problem there.

Intel Extreme onboard Gfx chips are, to be blunt, renound for being craptastic P.O.S.

However, It could be that its simply not a game to be run on your system...Hell...I can't run TFTD on this PC, but i can on my old one...

It's not too bad...the slowdown's not noticeable unless there's a lot of stuff gong on at once (some of the flashier summons, etc.), it'd just be nice if I could get it to run a little faster. I just want to know if the 1.02 patch would work.

I've seen a problem where in FF7Config, an Intel integrated graphics controller would pass everything, but Direct3D was still not an option.  The 1.02 patch fixed this; it was not necessary to check the nVidia box.
