sorry for cloud's whole body is lego i will try to make this model in NPC reconstruction, later. and

there are some threads in this forum that have more information how to import/swapping models etc.. if you willing to mod try to check them out but some of that information is not completely explained, so what i mean is to figured it out by your self like what i've done :wink:

Well done. That isn't what everyone can do, especially me.
However, despite your efforts, I myself prefer not to have such model in my game. You see, this new Cloud makes me feel it does not belong to FF7. He no longer seems to have that naive and immature look that befits Final Fantasy VII story.
Maybe if you can replace this model only and only with the Cloud character that fights Sephiroth and kills him with Omnislash...

hey kula wende can you help me here
i went to this modding class http://namespooferff7.synthasite.com (http://namespooferff7.synthasite.com) and downloaded Squeeble's document. It is written for 3DS Max so its hard to follow because im using blender. I came to this part where he said chop up the model and export to 3ds

The thing is, blender doesn't have a proper export script for 3ds so it won't export the UVs, nor can it create a .uvw file either. So im stuck right here now :-(. Does pcreator read .obj file?

im not sure and i dont have enough knowledge about blender, im using 3ds max but you have already done to chop up the parts so try to export each parts to your new folder and dont forget to delete the parts that you dont need, try to convert the .obj files to biturn, once again i dont have enough knowledge about blender :-( and i hope this thread helps you http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=6576.0

nevermind i got it to work now, you will need a special 3ds export script. I get it from Knife Edge forum here: http://www.knifeedge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17674 (http://www.knifeedge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17674)
if you use this script to export then the 3ds file in pcreator have uv coordinates
I got some parts done already, although I have to admit the 256-color bmp textures sucks :(

Thats awesome, it's almost like namespoofer's cloud model cept he had a different sword. I'm learning how to import models as well using his modding class page :D So your work is inspirational.

accually as a person who makes accual models i have a few complaints about your cloud,
first there are a ton of holes in the model,
the texture for the feet are screwed,
you should have welded the model before slicing you left alot of gaps.
also check your texture placements for the feet, pants and hair.

okay sorry guys! from now on we'll be posting in english then! :-D
well our discussion's about the kh2 tifa that i imported to ff7 field model..the problem is that...it crashes whenever the program tries to load tifa's model..please tell me for those of you who knows..what could be the problem??

oh i have heard of such a problem before.. when i did it with my friend a while back.
He said...
" For some reason when i convert the models to the LGP.. the ending on each of the names has to be corrected.. I have not idea why it changes.. but.. well I got Yuffie to work from KH for my game... doesn't that excite you yuffie!"
Basically what happens.. well on his PC, is that when you place the files into the LGP the ending changes to AAAA(2)
it doesn't want to overwrite... lol
I am not sure if this your problem.. but i tried to help!

hmm when i checked the extracted files of my char.lgp i found some files that have been named with numbers( e.g. afee2.rsd)..i found a lot of them..is this normal? coz the only ones that i pasted were tifa's files which have different file names..im not sure if this is my problem..how did your friend go about that? did he have to scan all of the 14,761 files in the char.lgp?

i think its not the texture files that is my problem..i read in slayersnext's thread that putting all texture in one big tex file is just the same as putting it in many different tex files..and about your models..hows it going? have you finished it? pls PM me when you do..and oh hope your first day high's great! :-D

im planning to release this mod if i already finish it but it is "illegal" to do that, im trying to contact any people handled this forum or any permission to release this mod so everyone can used and enjoy this mod and not only the screenshots uve seen :wink:

Nice work on characters. Although, there are visible problems. Tifa's hands and Yuffie's upper torso look a problematic. But they are just minor problems. The biggest problem is Cloud. He is not the "Cloud" as we know anymore.
Barret and Tifa are undoubtedly the best. Can you post close-ups from them?
About publishing them, don't worry. Just post amongst this community via a file sharing service and keep a low profile. That way, it'll be qualified as Fair-Use and therefore, fully legal.

That's exactly the problem. This Cloud is so serious and dangerous-looking that is no longer suitable for the scene in which he has to choose between "Wark!" and "Wark Wark!" as a reply to an enthusiastic Chocobo! (That was one funny scene.) Cloud matures in the game. This Cloud is already too mature, too "max pain"-like.

just a small piece of advice, may i suggest a minor re size and possibly making therm a bit differt in size they look about the same size but hey not bad even if it is squares work still nice effort. Looks pretty good. Hope your enjoying yourself because thats the main thing, if you enjoy it nthen its geat but if not then its gonna suffer so just remember to relax and smile at your crits and take your time and make it the way you want.

Good luck importing those summons. They aren't made of .p files like the battle.lgp so Kimera doesn't like displaying their individual parts.

While I appreciate your work as that of good designer, it would be unjust to either appreciate or pretend to be appreciating it as that of an excellent designer or beyond. I guess your Yuffie is, per Hollywood standards, indeed "cute". Although, unfortunately this cuteness of her neither promotes you beyond the status of a mere "model" designer nor promotes her beyond the status of a mere "model", no matter how cute she turns out to be. I'm afraid your Yuffie would remain just as Final Fantasy VII-worthy as a modeling women would prove suitable for a battlefield.
Now, I do understand that you people in this forum seek 9 parts out of 10 appreciation and one part out of 10 criticism. But if you seek to be appreciated as you deserve, either do not forget the context based upon which you design your characters, or otherwise consider being the creator of your own world and your own context.

OMFG... Cloud's appearance in FF AC with his sword strapped on his back! (Not the buster sword, which was near the place where Zack died.)
Little complaint:
His sword seems to be... Too low. It should be a bit higher, but still nice job.

He is a combination of the two
The body is Dissidia (with all the tassles removed), but the head/wing/and shoulderpads are from the Crisis Core model.

Where do you put it? Battle.lgp or Char.lgp ? ( I extracted them both into separate folders, and because I don't have a disc anymore, AND because I completely suck at computer-related stuff, I don't wanna mess my game up. :P )

For one thing, i tried and failed to implement the mod, and now my cloud is back to his old form instead of the apz cloud and i have to fix that again (lpg tools is my least favorite program because it confuses me around the time where i have to use 'create')
Anyway i'll try asking again: could you please explain to me and chocobo where to put these files and anything else that is important?

Both Char.lgp and Battle.lgp have the almost completely same names, and when I tried both I now have the low-res cloud again. The Cloud APZ made is now gone, and now I have to re-install it... Like Xelane.

Nah i don't suck at computer stuff, But i will admit that i am new to modding so i tend to make mistakes.
Anyway i'll give this another shot so i'll hopefully get favorable results.
Edit: If i come off as irritated, it's because i've been trying to swap sephy with cait sith all day and nobody seems to want to help except obesebear and NFIT, and they're great guys but they both said that they can only speculate

Everything is looking good! My one complaint... the basic Shinra soldiers "bandana" should be red. It's the Grenadiers that have the green bandana.
Also, Luis_Aviles, if you're referring to that Zack model, it doesn't look like the Crisis Core one to me

I'm afraid I don't think so, kula_wende. As long as you let other people's comments affect you so severely, the only safe place for your mod will be your head because when you put your mod on a website, people are bound to visit it and not all of them will be those which you like.
As long as you don't know how to treat people whom you don't like, especially slanderous ones, your bitter experiences will not end.

are those mods displayed on the website compatible with the hardcore mod created by gjoerulv? i couldnt get them to work together... the hardcore mod didnt work and i want it to work cuz i LOVE a challenge :-D

hmm..dont know bout that..but i do know klua brought up the difficulty slightly higher..dont know..but i think its compatible since gjoevrulv's patch changes the kernel files and not the battle.lgp..am i correct on that? :?

gjoerulv's mod changes the battle.lgp, but depending on how kula's mods are installed, they might still be compatible. Basically, if he gives out the models on their own (as Apz does) rather than with a patcher, there'll be no trouble; just install gjoerulv's mod first and then put kula's models in.
If he has a patcher that mods the battle.lgp, I imagine that one could keep two battle.lgp files, patch one with each and move the models changed by kula's mod into the first battle.lgp file.
