Not all battle scenes are new.
After the first train station and reactor battles, it's quite awhile before you encounter any other new battle scenes.

Ya I believe the first new one you see after the train station is when you leave Midgar. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Bootleg has two additional battle scenes retextured: the opening battle at the train platform and the battle at the entrance to the first reactor.

Sorry for the bump, guys, but i´m still a little confused about installing this mod.

Which one should i use, Felix Leonhart´s mod or magochocobo´s one? Or does one complement the other?


And do i still have to decompile battle.lpg with LGPTools, replace with the files in the pack and recompile it, or is it just move the "battle" folder to my mods folder and Aalis driver will load it?

first off id like to just start off by saying what a great job u did with dis battle field mod enhancement, and the only issue I have with it is the load time its waaaay to long if anyone could help with dis tht would be great. My "modpath = DK" and im using 0.7.11 opengl

If aali's graphics driver 0.7.9 and up is working perfectly you don't need use the battle scenes in lgp,the png are better.Use the lgp only for 0.7.8 and down.

The PNG's slow the load times significantly.
This is most noticeable before field and battle scenes open.
Using the LGP textures results in an initial slowdown but subsequent loading is faster.
Not all PNG's are converted for LGP use.

Enabling compression improves load times at a great cost in visual fidelity.
    compress_textures = yes

thx a lot e1sunz!! the world map looks soooo much better than b4. As for the battle scenes.. well even with the png files its still lags just as pitbrat mentioned above. And I enabled compression just like you suggested pitbrat and yeah some of my schemes and themes were gone so I turned it back off lol

Sorry but I have to revive this thread. The links on the first post are still active, but magchocobos scenes are packed in separate folders, which is not needed extra work for the end user. Here is a link with the files in one big pack:
