@ Pyrozen : You haven't wasted 6 months working on your version ... this was already a really good enhancement  ! This was better than the original map in anyway ! So it wasn't a waste of time (I was happy using your world map !).

I agree, I prefer the textures from Felix_Leonheart, but when did you do your version ? .... So all I want to say is that your version was really appreciate too !

@Felix_Leonheart : I wish you good luck, I've understand that you have exams and what you have started need a lot of works ... so just good luck to you !

Just don't worry ... you are sharing your works with us ... we can wait one or two more days ! Well now Torrent is complete for many users (me too). I'll seed to thanks you ...

Just take your time, like Krammer & Timber saids, you only have to compress yours PNG onto 2 RAR parts (less than 1Gb by part) to upload them on Megaupload (without prenium account) or an other website like that. Anyway now the torrent is active and everybody can have it by the moment.

I'm downloading it right now (will help for seed too). I've seen your screens, and I think it's pretty much like Sl1982 is doing. Maybe an installer will be a great idea ... combining sl1982's fields and yours maybe ?!

Ok I see ! So we still need to modify LGP files for battle models (I've forgot that sometimes the mod can have more files than the original one too !)

I've never used Direct Mode, I've seen explanations on the cfg file, but I did'nt try it yet. Thanks to you two for your answers !

But I have one question please ! If I've correctly understand, now that we can use PNG files for field and battle enhancement, can't we do the same thing for battle models ?! (Like Barret and Cloud... and other mods like PRP ?) converting TEX files to PNG files and using them without modifying the LGP file ?! (We need to know corrects filenames and that should works no ?)

I'm asking that for 2 reasons :
1 - Using PNG Files allow us to use originals LGP files, a way more easy to use !
2 - It's even more easy to enable/disable mods and (for example) making screenshots or footages to compare original version VS modded one

Yeah you'll have to change your videopath on your register.

Use Regedit and search for Final Fantasy VII :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Square Soft, Inc.\Final Fantasy VII

Or for x64 system :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Square Soft, Inc.\Final Fantasy VII

And change the value MoviePath to this one :
C:\Program Files\Square Soft, Inc.\Final Fantasy VII\Data\Movies\

Or for x64 sytem :
C:\Program Files (x86)\Square Soft, Inc.\Final Fantasy VII\Data\Movies\

That must be the folder where you've placed new movies.

Why the hell are you asking for another website to host files ?! I can't understand ?! There are small files, everybody can take it from MU (without Prenium account), MU is fast and files are corrects.

So just take it from MegaUpload ! oO

Thanks Magochocobo for the option you are pourposing to users : PNG files or TEX files for LGP. Pretty Cool ! Just want to thanks for the PNG :)

Edit : Having issues when trying to download the first part of PNG Files : using JDownloader don't resolve the issue .... the file seems online but always having a timed out connection ... will try later.

Looks great too ! Good works. I will test it too thanks. 10 battle scenes (Felix_Leonheart) + 9 battle scenes (Mago Chocobo) it's a good start ^^ Again thanks to you :)

PS : Arf, have to do that on my LGP file ^^ I agree with Armorvil, PNG files like did Felix_Leonheart is a way easier to use ^^ Anyway I know how to do it so I'll try ! :)

Yep that's right for the grassland, I've understand this release only contains your battle scenes ^^ (The other project seems to always be at 9 battle scenes)

Okay thanks for the explanation on forests ! Did not see the difference with the originals battle scenes  :? Sorry for my misunderstanding !

PS : Always searching on the 2 battle scenes I'm missing  ;D

PSS : So I assume I can temporaly change the [Ancient Forests] by [Forests] to wait for the new [Ancient Forests] scene. Only need to know the [Ancient Forests] filename and to copy [Forests] files twice with the [Ancient Forests] filename right ?!

Edit : Test of part2 finished, (so part1 too, I have start from the beginning) really great too ! We can easily see the difference when we quit Sector 7 Train Station to enter Sector 7 Slums.  :P

Man finally ! The Battle-Scene Enchancement I was looking for on Team Avalanche section !

Edit : I have tested the OPAC file from the post ^^ (OPAC / OPAD and a third one) I was waiting for the release for a long time ^^

Hummm Ati graphic card with Aali Driver 0.7.10b here (just disable "compress_textures" as I read something saying this can generate issues with Ati Drivers). The "Iceland" field is working here, but not the forest ?! Sl's enchancement working too ... and files seems good (not a download problem I think).  I'll test the  swamp now ... but can you tell us what are exactly the 10 battle field please (because on the Team Avalanche section, grassland scene is done, right ?). I know it contains Junon Beach, but battle only happends at special moments...

"Iceland" ; "Swamp" & "Beach" (regular Beach, not Junon Beach, not tested yet) are working... "Forest" is working too now ... no changes ! Game have just been restarted (but that's another location on the map ...). Ok seems it doesn't works on all forest locations ! For example it doesn't works for the forest of the ancient temple (the one who became black materia) maybe differents files name ?! (tested with Disc3)  :| Will test other battle scenes if you want (on any map location if it can help) just need to know all the scenes to test ^^

PS : For me using modpath is a way better than modifying LGP files, because you can easily enable or disable it ... for my opinion this is a good way to make mods ... (size isn't the problem to my regard). Oh and yes FL, your work is really awesome ! Like everybody says ...

By now I'm aware about 9 battle scenes :
- Beach
- Junon Beach
- Forest
- Mt Nibel
- Iceland
- Swamp
- Shinra Building (Elevator)
- Sector 8 Streets (Disc1 before jumping on the train)
- Sector 7 Train Cemetery

Tests for Forest scenes (means forest found on the world map near the locations) :
- Mt Nibel  --> Works;
- Fort Condor --> Works;
- Goblin Island --> Works;
- Bones Village --> No battle ?! oO
- Ancient Forest --> Inside ancient forest did not works (original forest battle scene); outside no battle ?! oO;
- Gongaga -> Did not works;
- Ancient Temple --> Did not works;
- Mideel --> Did not works.

I think that all forest scenes have been tested, no problem with "Swamp" or "Beach" scenes for the moment.

Edit : Part 1 was allready : "Consists of the opening train scene to the reactor bomb placement." So I suppose part 2 starts where part 1 finished. But where finish part2 please ?

Just to make a quick feedback, now that I've tested it. The enhancement is really visible, on a 1920x1080 resolution what a change, no pixels (and there are legion on that resolution).
Really a good enhancement, good work as always ! And again thanks for sharing with everybody !

I've had a bad first experience on the forum but anyway like I've always said : thanks for your works ! Happy to see that some mods continue to be released ! :) Like Aali who have recently updated his OpenGL driver.

Sorry for the dead topic :S

Having the same problem with battle models here ... I can make them matches somes positions and animations. But there's always some of them that won't matches :(
It's really hard... I've understand that the rotations are cumulatives but that didn't help me ! :S Thanks for the answers here, I'll take a look !

I wondering is there was any method to do it an easier way ... I've seen some tutorials and tried to rescale (and position) parts on 3DS (using the orignal one to place and scale) but no way that never match ! If I didn't scale it on 3DSMAx it's very small on Kimera and if I rescale it with 3DSMax (using original file as model) it's very big in Kimera ! Anyway I always have to rescale on Kimera and it's never placed like I wish :( (always need to rotate a little, move a little etc...).

I am doing something wrong ? I can't understand how you can make them matches all animation frames ?! Please any help would be much appreciated.

PS : Oh yeah sorry I'm a noob, but it's about 1 week I've seen your website, and 4 days that I used 3DSMax and others softs ... (never touched it before). So I've used my head ... I think I can understand because I've understand how to do that for the moment. Just need some tricks please !

2 - Flashlion : Yes this mod is the complete Cloud's weapons HQ collection ! The first post announced it ... and it's works like a charm ! :)

Millenia, for me, you are one of the best modders ! With Timu Simusu (sorry if I didn't correctly write his nickname : never remember the correct way to write it :S ) etc .... Realy hope to see you back here with more stuff one day !

And then I've found an answer to my question : need to create polygons on no-textured faces. Sorry for that ! Anyway thanks !... Still have a big animation problem :( How could you make them matches all frames ?! Can't do it :( Well maybe I'll success to make 10 animations matches .... but one moment or another parts doesn't matches the animation :(
