OK, this is more of a question regarding the Menu Overhaul specifically. Is there a reason it calculates attack differently? When I use the retranslation, the attack stat is the same as a vanilla copy in the same situation, but it's different when using ff7_mo.exe.
Is there a specific reason for this, is it an error, or is there something else I'm missing?

OK, since it seems that I have 34 Attack using 7th Heaven, I'm guessing it has something to do with the Buster Sword.
EDIT: So, after disabling Menu Overhaul, I'm back to 43 Attack, so I'll check if it's like that with ReTranslated. Which seemed to work, strangely. Is there something different in ff7_mo.exe to cause this?

I'm right after helping Aerith escape the church, with Cloud equipped with Buster Sword at level 13.
And yes, when I use that save file with vanilla FF7 it gives me ~100 damage.
I'll try converting one of my PSP saves to a .ff7 file and seeing if that works.
And I'd be happy to upload my file if need be. :D

I'm using the Steam version, and normally is both before and after game converter, as I tried using the official launcher after converting to see if it would be like vanilla FF7.

So, when I play FFVII normally, the stats are, well, normal.
However, when I play it with 7th Heaven, the amount of damage I do is way less than normal. For instance, I might do above 100 damage normally, but with the same hit in 7th Heaven I'd only do 40 or so.
Here's my load order, in case that helps, and I'm using ff7_mo.exe

I had a problem similar to this, using the Mike + Millenia weapons for Cloud.
For most of the time I was using it, it worked, but the moment I entered the final segment with Sephiroth (where you either use Omnislash or counterattack) the textures for Ultima Weapon failed to load.

Is there a way to physically change the location of your party through this?
Like, I know it can activate event flags, but I need to get out of the Dollet exam due to it crashing every time I finish it, and I want to change the location where I saved at  from the Comm. Tower to Balamb's hotel.
I know there's an option to change the location name, but it doesn't change the actual location (for me, at least)

7th Heaven / [RESOLVED] FMVs not playing sound correctly

Pretty much, whenever an FMV plays in the copy of FFVII I'm using for 7thHeaven, the sound plays for, like, the first 2 seconds, and then immediately cuts out.
While I do have some audio hiccups on the Steam FMVs, they work for the most part, and I don't recall having this issue when I used Bootleg.
For reference, I'm using the Remastered FMVs from cmh175.
I can post my PC's specs if needed, but I'm not sure if it's because of me having a weak PC.
EDIT: nvm, turned out to be me using the original CD-Rom version

FFV is my favorite, so I'd really love the ability to make it even better.

1.8 GHz CPU
2.7 GB RAM
and I'm running it on 32-bit Vista.
Since it's storebought (and from a long while ago), I'm not exactly sure, but I do know my CPU and RAM.

So, I'm using Tonberry with the Steam version of FFVIII, and the speed seems really inconsistent. When I first run FFVIII, it's very choppy and laggy. However, whenever I use RAMRush to try to get it back to normal, it becomes extremely fast.
I'll post my PC's specs if needed.

OK, so my game runs correctly, most problems are due to my computer being weak.
However, despite me having the mods activated, the Jessie mod and Team Avalanche background mod seem to do nothing, even while turned on.
I'd appreciate a list of the areas that the background mod affects, if possible, so I can see if it's a problem or just me being an idiot.
Ass for the Jessie mod, I had it on during the bombing mission sequence, yet Jessie didn't join my party.

For 7, I'd recommend using 7th Heaven and using only the ones you want (AKA Field Textures and possibly Media- Music and Sounds, depending on what version of 7), with 8, use Tonberry to use Project Eden, and Roses and Wine to install FF8's PSX OST (and more!)
As for models, I'm not too sure if there are any models with only res changes, but shaders always make them look better.

Oh! At this point, for modding, it would be best if you uninstalled Steam and installed it in Games, as Steam itself is in Program Files x86 (which we don't want), and FFVII will always install to SteamPath\steamapps\common
If you're worried about saves, just make backups
