I've already PM'd you with exact directions on how to setup the subscription link from genesis063's mod page, but you haven't confirmed to me in the PM whether you did that or not. Please talk to me there, and please refrain from posting the same thing here multiple times.

if I make the game with the game converter, but within the shader folder is not the SmartBloomAdvanced.post

Then the game converter did not work properly for you, but I can't tell you why. Check your FF7_GC.log file to see what it's doing. You can copy/paste it here if you'd like me to look at it.

I got this Error when I try to run it

Real quick I think I may have come across an issue with windows 10.  It seems the change to the Corel area are not going through.  I tested this on my iro without uploading and everything works fine.  However when I try to upload a new revision it seems to not take affect.  Some of my changes have gone through.  I plan to test it on chrome as the new windows thing might have something weird preventing it.  I'll edit this post if it works on chrome or not.

Send me a PM when you've done the edit, so I don't forget. I've pulled your IRO from the subscription link on your mod page and will be adding it to the Catalog. Mods this massive almost always have a major bug lingering around, so hopefully we can have it situated soon.

Yeah this is pretty game breaking and weird.  Everything aside from the upload seems to run fine.

Edit: I'll have to reextract the file and re-edit it for some reason every file I have has that issue.

I had a fix but for some reason when I patch it it gets messed up and affects the file I used in the folder.  It could be the operating system for some reason or a bug or something.

edit: seems like it only works with Tifa in the party.  When you first reach Corel when the three npc's get angry at "Barret" have Tifa in the party and in the third slot.  I hope this to be temporary and hope to figure out what is going on to make the map to fire off right.

I'm worried about the WARNING message for system folder installations. I don't know if copying the game to C:\Games\FF7 is a viable option for Windows 10. I am going to ask you to start over from the beginning, but let's do something different.

First, go to here and follow the directions for the first solution about the wrong battle encounters: http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=15520.msg218297#msg218297  --- Please do exactly as it says.

After the game is uninstalled and everything is cleaned out, install the game again. This time create the folder C:\Games\FF7 and point the installation directory to it. After the game is installed, run the game converter from STEP 1 and continue the rest of the 7H tutorial.

Let me know of the results (it should work).

I deleted my old one form another error and this is just hte current error im getting. All i hope is that i don't have to do everything over again.

This was an error from the Bootleg Configurator days when Aali's Custom Driver was not setup properly: http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=13212.0

Did you run the game converter from STEP 1? It installs the proper Aali Custom Driver to use, so since the game is not recognizing it at launch, I can only assume you haven't run the game converter. If you did, check the FF7_GC.log to see what happened.

Hello EQAlyza, i figured i would post my problem here in hopes you could help. The problem is i'm getting 2 error messages when i try to launch the game, the first is from the converter and says "Unable to locate registry key. Please re-install Final Fantasy VII." The second is from the game and says"Please insert FF7 Game Disc 1, 2, or 3 and try again." Any idea of what i could do? I have the steam version (just got it a few days ago) if that helps, and i have windows 10.

There isn't any message the game converter should give that says "Unable to locate registry key..." so I don't know how to help you there. Perhaps go to the FAQ section in the 2nd post of the thread and follow the instructions for the first solution about the wrong battle encounters. That is the method everyone should use to completely clean their computer of any registry key errors and start with a fresh FF7.

The second message is because in STEP 1 you didn't rename a drive to FF7DISC1 before running the game converter. But since you can't run the game converter, it's understandable that it would say this.

Fix the first message to fix the second message.

I re-named my usb drive ff7disc1, everything was working until i clicked "launch game" and got the two errors. I mounted the ISO this time, i'm gonna try everything again later today, I'll let you know how it goes.

Something different than the error reporting: how far is your progress alyza? do you think we can be enjoying your new release package soon?

I actually completely skipped step 4, I was wondering does it have to be in full screen?

Update: Got it all working but my computer can't handle the mods, oh well at least i know how to do this now.

So when I download out of the catalog I'm getting the error message on a handful of specific mods. All others download and install properly but the same few always give an error and despite now saying "downloading" on the catalog page they make 0 progress even if left alone for hours.

Including important ones like Field textures, Music and Sounds, Movies, Spell textures :/

I'd say half the catalog gives unyielding errors when I try to download. Rebooting it doesn't help. It'll create a temp file in 7th heaven and that's it without fail over and over.

Yes :)

Finished the preview files finally, which is the most "busy work" of all. There were a lot of new models requested, so it took awhile. I just have to add a few more mods that have been updated released recently, then edit the .xml files into the Catalog. The final process is compressing and uploading to Google Drive / MEGA for a public release.

That's normal. I haven't bothered fixing it since we're so close to the next Catalog release. Be patient and wait for that :)

Ooooh sounds good, any eta on that?

Also as a separate issue I'm getting that red message in game (music not being found or whatever). I've browsed through the comments and I haven't really found a fix that has worked for me. I have the vgmstream as the plugin but no dice. Is that simply because of not having the sounds and music mod?
