I'm using the old Eidos trapezoid box version of the game, if that matters. Has the character status screen always said "Intellect"? Every guide you can find on the internet mentions "Spirit". And I'm playing New Threat mod which also talks about "Spirit".

I suspect this MIGHT be New Threat related. I do have the "Menu - Avatars and Backdrops" mod active but only for the Start Menu. Everything else, including all the avatars, are set to "No Change".

Even so, the avatars are clearly looking like Minmin's avatars. So I suspect New Threat has already swapped the defaults to use those. Unfortunately, RedXIII's avatar looks like it's using a bad texture. Or the wrong texture completely.

Edit: Okay, this is bizarre. I've compltely deactivated the "Menu - Avatars and Backdrops". And yet, my main menu image is still the custom one, all my avatars are still Minmin avatars. It's like once you set these things, they never unset. It's either that or I'm just incredibly similar to SegaChief and I've managed to set up my game exactly as New Threat did and I've just been overriding stuff for no reason.

Edit2: I just deactivated some mods, reactivated some mods, and now it works fine. As best I can tell, I'm running the exact same as I was before but maybe one of them just needed to be rebooted.

This is a bit of an odd one. When I first open 7H and launch the game, some mods load (like New Threat and the field models for characters) but other mods don't load (sound/music swaps don't load music. so they game is silent. my save point model reverts to the old one, too).

If I close the game and launch it one more time, it works just fine. All mods loaded.

Not a huge deal. I literally load the game, as soon as the Eidos splash starts I Alt+F4 and launch again. But it would be nice if I could stop doing this.

Edit: Not sure if this is related, but I also notice every time I launch the game, there's a new set of "direct" and "music" entries in the Extra Folders section of the General Settings. So like, right now, I just opened it and this is the content:
