I used the original MIDI from the PC version as a base since i dont own a midi controller keyboard (yet) so its impossible to make them from scratch and sound as the original ones (cause that was my goal, therefor i used the term remastered instead of rearranged or remixed.)
I wouldnt consider myself as a good composer...but im getting better at mastering alot of tracks together

Its not a direct conversion.
See it more as processing MIDI data to instruments (or samples) to make it sound better

I use SONAR 8 as my main DAW but im thinking about switching back to Cubase since its intergrated real tight with my wanted master midi keyboard YAMAHA KX8

i have that program, but i cant get used to how complicated it is. does it take much time to learn the basics? mixcraft is simpler, but not as complex, which is better for doing more complicated, better things.

Thank you very much,  i combined Your OST with the original or some song from Compilation of FF VII (ACC / BC / CC) with Audacity and all the results are just awesome, because there is the "Midi" Touch with you're touch, mixed by me french touch' you know !

If you really want an easy program i suggest Garageband. Its so basic, it cant be complicated
As for SONAR:
I recommend viewing some videotutorials (mine came with 10 or so basic tutorials) or search some forums for help

Hehe  well fortunatly...there are only 3 tracks from CD1 that are updated
If im right, The Favs (from ffshrine) is busy atm to make all tracks loop, so if you want to wait on that you can or either ignore those and reupload only the improved and loopable ones

Dude, you looped them all?? I just finished looping all of my files today! Had I known they were going to be looped and uploaded I never would've wasted the effort. Guess I should've followed the thread more carefully.

Question: Did you loop them by modding the original tracks and transcoding them into MP3 anew or just by cutting the MP3's in an audio editor like Audacity?

Sorry man, but i really did say 1 or 2 posts back that The Favs was busy with looping them all (Big thanks to The Favs...ill post them here later on if you dont mind )
Ow and i wont change the naming since its as close as the original US release of the soundtrack and especially since the tracks are now more like the OST, sorry..

Ey, very well spotted i always review my own work, but i didnt even noticed that 'stupid' flaw i guess i was too busy.
Its now FIXED with a reverse Cymbal although the original has a very long (synthesis) one. To make it more realistic, i added a normal reverse cymbal that a orchestra can do without digital effects.
I also added 2 quick Orchestra hit @ 1:30

I will add it to the collection that The Favs made and reupload CD1 (sorry) so keep checking this thread as i will upload it soon
