Oh gee that sucks. It's pretty cool though if you think about it. Go to USA and it's the present. Go to Japan and it's the future. Go to Cuba and it's the 60's. And go to Europe and it's the 90's.

So did the N64 die at the same time over there or did it take longer to fall?  I seriously doubt it has to do with your gaming abilities on sales. I think that Europe just sells less than the US and if they don't think it'll make money, they don't release it. Think of it this way, Japan's hand-picking out the crap so you don't have to. They just use the US as a guinea pig. I thank God I don't have to put up with all that crap that they sell in Japan.

But think of it this way, at least you created James Bond. :D

Dude, are you just pulling random stuff out of the air or something? @_@

Europe is made up of like..20 countries or more? Not to mention, alot of quality stuff too is made there. What was the last thing you saw made in America besides a Number 2 Pencil and a Patriot Missile? How can one country outsell an entire continent? It just doesnt make sense...

Even so, Europe may make the best cars and food, and Japan may make the best electronics and get all the exclusives, but when a missile from Uncle Sam drops in your backyard...

...Doesnt really matter how much horsepower that Ferrari has now does it

We may not make a good wine, but we can make a damn good missile!

You think you have it bad.
"Oh no, the japanese get it 3 months before we do, Oh noes!!!"

Then theres us.

"Well its 2 years on now and we STILL dont have animal crossing and only just have mario golf."

stop whining.  You get it good.

Animal Crossing? The GC one (I don't know if there's more)?

It's already out in Europe... I hired it months ago, when I first got my GC (April).

That is, unless Nintendo treat Australia and Europe as seperate regions... unlike most Sony developers...

Stop your bitching about Animal Crossing! It's not even that addicting! It's just basically the next-gen version of Lemmings. And I don't think we play that too much now do we? Just calm down. You're not missing much. Just another game that you will play and put on the shelf after a year.

We will!

I think the U.S. is slowly becoming the new version of communism unless we put a stop to the madness! We must not vote for Bush! He is a failure to this nation and he would be hung if ths was the medieval ages. He should not be allowed a second term!!

But enough spamming. This is the general forum. Please don't post like the way I just did. Let's go back to the original topic....... what was it again?

Heh, I used to switch around the setting in my GC to like christmas and other dates, just to get all the cool extras ^_^.

I guess thats cheating, but still.

Anyways, I guess it just depends on what type of games you like. I really dont care, aslong as its fun and enjoyable (Though it can be argued that I might be easily entertained), I still found it enjoyable. I stopped playing it after awhile (5 months, when I traded in my GC), but I enjoyed it.

I dont know, I guess if you liked the Sims, you'll like Animal Crossing. Though I can see how it could be a little dull with no real objectives, but then again, I like that open-endlessness.

"I like Grand Theft Auto because its so open ended!"

"Oh, how about Animal Crossing?"

"That game sucked, its too open ended!"

-_-

I know they're not the same type of game (Drive-By vs. Fishing...hmm), but you see where Im going with this...

A bit of info...

Aerith is the official Square confirmed name. So far it appeared in all japanese mags..

A bit info on the storyline was about the Gios Stigma disease.. People who saw the E3 trailer know the wonderful pronouciation ^^.. Vincent is supposed to know useful stuff and hence play a big role in the part. Square in the Shinra subsite confirmed that the WCP (wheel chair person) is male.. Everybody thinks it's Sephiroth - I guess, who else? As well as the cloning relation to him of WHM (white haired men) was said to be highly possible. I guess everybody knows the above by now but I guess it won't hurt repeating... And yeah, Yuffie is also there. Making an entree on a parachute.

Interesting thing about the materia slots though... Check out their weapons.

Man, no one's posted in two weeks...

But anyways, I didnt think that guy in the wheelchair was Sephiroth. I actually thought it was Jenova, but ah well. What about the materia now?

Qwerty, do you have some big problem with dying threads...?
Less then two weeks is no reason to start a new thread..

It is confirmed the WHC is a Male, so Jenova is rather out of the game.
Check out Clouds, Yazoos and others weapons.. They usually have round holes. Materia slots..?

Ok, I had to...

Darkdevil... About japanese..
Yes, they do have 's' in their language...

Root of Aerith's name is most probably A-E-RI-SU.
Read i.e subete-wa; sekai; su; aeri-su.

The whole th/s came into light because japanese didn't like the english pronouciation of Aeris. Thus now Aerith.

Or it can be theorized it was a matter of consistency... セフィロス = Sephiroth, but エアリス = Aeris? Personally I thought Aeris was a "nicer" name, but hey Square called the shots ^_^
