A note on FF Merchandise..

FF7: AC figures just got shipped into our store (Suncoast) and I bought all 3.. There was a Sephiroth, Vincent, and Tifa.. $21.99 a piece, but I get a discount thank god..

http://www.toysnjoys.com/ff7ac_figures.html

That link shows what they look like.. Our store only got 3. I immediately bought them.. along with the new series of Inuyasha figures (Sango and Miroku) ^_^

They have really great detail and the box they come in is pretty cool as well..

Thought you guys might want to know...

I might have missed something, but I didnt see anything where someone said you couldnt do this.. It is very possible that I missed whatever was said.. Who told you that you couldn't post a modified scene.bin file.. And how big is the file? (out of curiosity)

The scene.bin file contains attributes for the game right? like rules?

I'd agree with RPG's comment on how hard it must be to be at lvl 60 without gaining other limits.. But I think you can also cheat them into the game using an editor.. I'm pretty sure of this..

But if you want to play wihtout cheating yeah you should just use the limits repeatedly to gain more..

im not sure I understand what you mean? Do you mean there is no new game plus or whatever?

That's precisely what was meant by the comment.. There is no new game plus.. If you want to start the game with everything use Qhimm's editor..

I know a lot of people here have this game, obviously. I really need these files to be able to play without freezing, if someone could please help me, it'd be appreciated.

You shouldnt double post like you did.. People see the thread, and will read it.. Someone may be able to help you, but bumping the thread is not necessary.

I'm wondering if FF7 PC supports a game controller. Playing with a keyboard kinda ruins the FF7 experience.

By the wat, does anyone know how to make the hardware mode with on board graphic cards?

It supports game pads.

Also there is a vast wealth of information regarding how to make it work in many different modes in these forums.. Check through the great FAQ on it.

Also there are ways to change the sound.. Using soundfonts you can get better audio.

It's a cheap buy now.. Honestly, if you enjoyed FF7 I'd grab it.. I own the PSX and PC versions of FF7 and FF8.

Also.. I think you can customize the controls.. I think those buttons rotated the map? You could just map them to whatever you wanted them to be.. I think this is possible.. I havent touched ff7 in years.. Maybe I should shut up.. LoL

General Discussion / Is this technically cheating..?

In my mind accomplishing something without a Gameshark (etc.) or inputting a code of some kind is just plain  skill. There's a difference between cheating, and taking a shortcut using a resource the game had already given you.

Ok.. you have a good point.. I'll give you that.. But.. In a game.. there are sometimes bugs or quirks that make the game perform in ways it wasn't supposed to perform.

as an example.. Say that if you perform an attack on a villain while using a potion on someone else and you become invincible.. That would be a game bug.. A really big one.. lol .. anyway.. this is a wild example, but knowing that bug is there.. the exploitation of it could be considered cheating because that wasnt the way the game was meant to be played.. Then again.. a bug is a bug, and the topic of such a thing is quite arguable from both sides as fair play and or cheating.

Honestly, I think this should go in unrelated (as it has nothing to do directly with the game), but I'm leaving it alone.

There is also a big huge programming site.. planetsourcecode.com or something like that.. Can't quite remember.. you could google it.. I'm sure they'd have a lot of info there on what you are looking for.

Like I said.. All I know is that gamestop is reserving it for October 4th.. Suncoast doesnt even have information on it.. (Which shocks me as we usually hear about these things way in advance)

I think I'll download it from whoever gets it subbed first, then I'll just buy it when I see it at my place of work.

Wow.. Very Nice info indeed thanks a lot Qhimm.. And whats up with the name change?

Tuesday October 4th is the release date I heard from my friend at gamestop.. Apparently you can buy just the movie for $30, or for $250 you can get a watch, bonus disk, t-shirt, and maybe a few other goodies.

Apparently at gamestop they are reserving copies.. I have no idea why we arent at suncoast, but I just thought I'd let everyone know. I also havent checked this with resources on the net yet. I would imagine you can find it cheaper somewhere else.

Ok.. well .. I'm wondering why i can't find net news on this subject, but I do know that our local gamestop is reserving it for this date. I dont know what's going on with the rest of the world yet though, or why it hasnt been on more websites.

I guess we'll find out as time passes.

Uh.. Basically he was saying that we dont need a reference page for Game Shark codes.. Since you can easily find them all over the web.. GameFaqs is just one place in which this can happen.

But I do appreciate what you tried to do, and I dont think it would hurt to have a quick reference of some GSC here..

If any other codes come in this thread you can edit your first post and add them in .. ^_^

What an odd graphics problem.. I imagine that you updated graphics drivers?
If you did update them .. You might want to also try a set of older ones.. Sometimes the newest drivers cause a glitch, but this is a very odd problem.. I'm sure someone can give you more insight than i can on this issue..

Damn them.

Can't they just leave my game alone? -_-

Every new FFVII product they bring out just makes it feel "cheaper" *shivers*

Why is that? Really? I mean a lot of people say that, but why not they make a sequel? I mean if they did it well it'd be great.. Right?

I'm sure they are going to make a hefty sum off of the FF7 franchise.. The OVA, Movie, game.. etc..

I think if they actually remade FF7 with updated graphics it would be awesome.. Probably enough for me to run out and buy a ps3.. If they were really going to make me cry they would make it so i could hook the PS3 to my computer monitor instead of a crappy tv..

I'd cry and worship sony and Squeenix.. ^_^

It's not about a title for me at all. To prove that I'd take back my other title it wouldnt matter to me.

Isn't there a contradiction there? :P Think of it this way; if the moderator title would not be visible on your regular account, you could have your custom title back - since it wouldn't be blocking your moderator title anymore.

Damn.. You are right.. That is a glaring contradiction.. LoL .. Well.. Ok.. Titles on forums do mean something to me.. "Druggie Chess Master" meant something to me.. I wont lie, but everyone that I care about on this forum knows me regardless of title. And if they dont know me regardless of title chances are that I wont care about them until they do.. So.. Really, a title wouldnt matter to me, but I wont lie and say it's meaningless.

I don't like the idea of having to log out of my account to moderate. If you see an issue you fix it on the spot. Having to log out would be a pain. It would seriously get old fast.

It's a good point, in theory. But I don't see it as a serious problem, unless there's a great deal of moderation to be done.

True.. Switching wouldnt be difficult unless there was a lot of crap to mod.. But would we still be able to retain post flags? When switching?

If it can be made into an easy system then I guess I wouldnt mind, but if we lose post flags or it becomes any bit of complicated I'd rather not.

Ultimately I'm lazy. Truly .. I know this may be hard for some of you to believe.. *Caddberry looks around and sees shock on everyone's face*

I like to make moderation as easy as possible.

Archive / Getting FF9 (PSX-UK-PAL) to Work on ePSXe
« on: 2005-06-26 02:13:31 »
I dont know what video plugin you are using, but you may want to look in the readme files of those plugins. FF9 was such a common game that soo many people had problems with a lot of guides were written on how to actually make it work.

I ran the NTSC version, but using Petes plugins it worked. I just had to configure the plugin properly.

I dont know about a proper patch, but you may want to check the readme files of the plugins for more information. IIRC Pete's had a guide in the readme about proper configurations for the NTSC version.. I'm sure someone put a guide like that on the web.. I apologize for not knowing much about the PAL version..

Oh, I think that you won't be a moderator for long, if you keep your current pace up. :)

If that is Qhimm's choice so be it. Until then, I'll moderate to the best of my ability.

It died down. Not died. I locked it because I felt it should have been.

you lack common sense

Well.. I thought people here might enjoy that and have questions about it if they couldn't get it to work so I posted it. I wouldn't say that someone lacks common sense because of that. The thread could have turned into a chat on Anime Music on top of the whole radio basis.

you have stated yourself that you don't really remember much about the Rubicant incident, because you were so stoned. Clearly a good attribute for a moderator.

I dont remember much because I honestly didnt care much.

animenfo general forum is a horrible mess.

We like it to be a mess so we leave it that way.

Quote
Combine all that with the fact you obviously have a beef with me and have had ever since the Rubicant incident.... that would make me see your appointment as a personal insult, rather than a smart choice for moderation.

I haven't had any problems with you since the Rubicant issue. We even had quite a few decent chats after that whole thing. I may not have agreed with you on the Rubicant thing, but as I recall as more came to light I understood more of where you were coming from. After that I respected your opinion on that issue. That's the truth. Jari I never hated you, or had a problem with you.

As for my 'bitching' I thought you were leaving, and after everthing you went to to leave I was confused.

I think it's cool you want to help set up forum rules or throw out ideas to improve it. You are a smart person, and I've never said otherwise.

All I'm basically saying is that I like the idea of knowing who moderators are on a forum. I can turn to them for help or ask questions, and basically I like knowing they are there and who they are..

Plus, my writing style is easily identified.. I have a habit of using elipses waay to much to break thoughts.

It's not about a title for me at all. To prove that I'd take back my other title it wouldnt matter to me.

I don't think this forum requires detailed moderation. There seriously aren't that many problems that we run into here.

I don't like the idea of having to log out of my account to moderate. If you see an issue you fix it on the spot. Having to log out would be a pain. It would seriously get old fast.
