Hey guys this is another remodel project and its done but I don't have permission to release this one because I need a permission to the original creator (Timu Sumisu and Millenia) I hope they allow me to release this model since there is nothing ripped, Just re-skinned and remodel.
AC Style Barret Features:
* New Rotating Animation Based on the FFVII - Advent Children Movie of his Gun-Arm when he shoots.
* New AC like Re-Skinned outfit.
* New AC like hair
* Field Model is The Same as the battle model equiped with his Custom AC Gun-Arm.

Wow. The hair and the gun-arm look pretty damn good. Never been a fan of the white jacket though. I think his original works better. Good job man!

If I do that Its useless because it has a unique animation on its battle model.

For now I don't mind about the animation, and I can do it myself anyways. So do whatever you want to.

Hmmn... Looks like I got and Idea :-), What if I edit the original FF7 barret and Remodel and Re-skinned? What do you think? If I do that maybe Im allow to post it here since there is nothing ripped. :-)

I guess you have a point, Maybe they wouldn't mind if I release this model.. Hmmn.. what if they are inactive? I already PM them until now there is no reply to permit me to release this model.. I guess the moderator can also decide :-)

I checked and Timu Sumisu logs on regularly.
He allowed the other author to use his work without any fuss.
Still, you'd better wait for his response.

I like to model but I have to agree, the white jacket and mesh underneath look off. Just because of the color. Everything else looks great.

White jacket definitely has to go! 99% of the users on this forum don't like/approve of AC so doing any model in that style won't be very well received here. Other than that, I am very glad to see a new release on here. Great work.

I totally agree. Throw the brown jacket back on him and he would be good to go! Even if you don't, I would still use this model because you did a great job on the hair and the gun-arm. Keep up the good work!

Well maybe when you release it, you can release one of each. One brown jacket model, and one white one. Just a thought :)

This AC model is good, particularly the gunarm detail & animation :3
I have to agree that the white jacket seems a little off, but I'm sure if you attached more detail to it it'll look much better ^^
I would suggest focusing detail on the mesh underneath (his stringy undergarment lol) too.
His original jacket would be more appropriate I'd say because it matches the AVALANCHE, down to earth/dirty feel of raiding reactors & such haha! :3

Hey guys. I can't seem to get this installed. With LGP tools it just freezes when extracting battle.lgp. With lgp/unlgp i get errors, and the whole thing doesn't extract. Is there any other way to compile this?

try to use highwind for replacing a model, but I haven't tried to use it.

I've never used Highwind either, i'll give it a go. I got the field model in with LGPTools, so that's a plus I guess :-P

If lpg/unlgp are giving errors, then a previous modification made with highwind or lgptools probably damaged the battle.lgp.
Make sure you're using the latest build of lgp/unlgp.
I'll have a new version of Bootleg up soon that installs these models.

Yeah I just tried Highwind and got the same error. Looks like i'll have to wait. New Barrett field model looks really good though, so i'm happy. Thanks again for the awesome mod jinkazama!

I noticed that the battle model only covers barrets gatling gun though..... is there any way you can make it cover all of them?

I'm having a problem with this model, I installed this model by extracting my battle.lgp files then replacing with files I downloaded from here, but when I start playing Barret model is white, only his weapon has textures.
What could be the Problem?

@whitERaven If Barret is all white except his for weapon, that means for whatever reason, the texture file for his body is not applying properly.
Whether the .TEX file for his body is just plain missing from your battleLGP for some reason, or maybe corrupted, is hard to tell. One thing you can try,
is opening the model in Kimera from just the files you downloaded. There should be a folder for battle, and one for field (or it might be labeled char)
if I remember correctly with this download. If the model opens fine with no errors and is also not white, then presumbaly it should work perfectly
in game if copied and compiled correctly in the battle and/or char LGP files. Just make sure the right files are going into the right LGP, i.e. battle into battle.lgp,
and char(or field) into char.lgp.
The only other issue I can think of is the software you are using to extract/compile might be causing issues during the process. I've been using Highwind
since I started modding without any issues so far, though just about everyone will warn you off that particular program since apparently it is very buggy. Instead, you should be
using lgp/unlgp as PitBrat advised.
Hopefully that helps solve the problems you are having.

Thanks, I actually found out what was causing the error, the problem was connected to NPOT textures, the tex file for the body of this barret model is an NPOT texture and for some reason my netbook doesn't support this, so what I did was resize the texture to 1024x1024 or 512x512

Yup it works, just extract the TEX file convert it BMP using imgtex program then with any Image manipulator program change the size of the Image to 1024x1024 or 512x512 whichever in the nearest to current size, then apply texture again using kimera it should work. I used this model as basis to my own version of barret..
Note: this fix will only work if you are having problems regarding NPOT texture

Yeah id like an answer to this too, is there a way to have his modded gun on all his weapons? Except the close range ones i guess??

Use Wall Market to edit the kernel for the weapons. Each one has an id number, just change the ids to match the weapon you want. I did this for both Cloud and Barret. There's a lot online about this, google is your friend.

Ok would usually be easy enough BUT the second i click on or drag a file to wall market (version 145) it instantly stops working

Hi! I am having a battle animation problem with this mod.
Barret runs up to the mob's face, then fires his gun, and the gun is Rotating on every gun he equips (but it should only do it for the first gun, right?)
