This seems fine. What about your installation order?

1) Download a fresh copy of the game via Steam
2) Install FFVII converter
3) Open Bootleg and select the setup for the package
4) Press Run Bootleg
5) setup wizards when pop up
6) close the game dificulty one
7) wait till instalation finish

i tried to play again, is official the boss from makoreactor is inmortal =/ i receive 100dmg+ per hitand he can survive 13 thunders, 6 limits and a few hits

This is really odd. Besides difficulty mods - which you don't seem to have installed - I can't think of anything that would make the Guard Scorpion any harder.

ok i tried again, and this time, i noticed that the battles are always on the same order, first two guards (thats normal), next a dog with a guard, two guards, two lazers canons, two uglys megamans with two flowers that can throw magic and finally a machine and the boss, like my last instalation, but this time the game crashes when i reach the battle versus the machina and always get the same  report, i think that enemy is lost, somehow the game thinks that i have installed the mod for dificulty, i read that autor of that mod puts some "special monster in each area" i think is my first attemp to install I messed everything

The same battles being in the same order has nothing to do with any of the mods. This is normal behavior. Regarding the crash, this means you have either Hardcore, New Threat (not in the current Bootleg) or Nightmare installed without the new models. How do you launch the game?

Solved! (I hope), i start over a new instalation, but this time i read every opcion in the bootleg gui and in "game opcions" i selected the dificulty "normal vanilla"opciĆ³n, and bingo!, no more crashes and the game dificulty is the original, thank you so much for your time, and sorry for bother and trouble you =), already played 2hrs and still no problems

So there was indeed a difficulty mod installed. Glad you solved it!

I swear, you're probably the first person to enter your settings directly from the command line since 040 was released. I'm not home so I don't have access to the code, but it wouldn't surprise me that such a bug slipped by me. At any rate, all I can recommend you is to use the BFE program to pick your settings. I'm not even sure if all the settings are covered through the command line. If you really want to use the command line instead of the BFE, I can fix it in a few days (around the 30). The BFE's settings won't crash (they don't use the same code).

Thank you for the respond. I tried to use BE first but it does not work, i followed all the steps (at least i think so) but always get this as a result.

I don't know if i'm doing something wrong or if something else is going on.
Here are my settings, maybe you can see my error.

Is 'FF7mod' an empty folder? Try extracting the image file in that folder and removing it from the settings (it's not required), then try again.

I have a questions about the BFE front-end.

First, is it really necessary to run BFE and install all of the mods -every- -single- -time-?  If it installs things, then...I mean, it overwrites the files, right?  That's a long process. I must be doing this the wrong way and there's probably a Minor Mistake Marvin meme in my near future.

Secondly, the second time I ran BFE and had it install things, the FF7 music installer threw a 'installer corrupted, invalid opcode' error, though the music was definitely changed in-game.  I changed the music pack to the Anxious Heart tracks and got the same error, though that's what's installing now and I haven't listened to it yet.  In a similar vein, the enhanced movies threw a 'part 1 is missing/has parts missing' and 'part 2 is missing/has parts missing' error, and the intro video after selecting new game didn't seem to change.  All of my mods in the listing are either green or yellow.  Edit: Also, after the second install, there are no sound effects.  I think, maybe, I hear them very softly, but turning the music volume down in the option doesn't actually change anything, so I can't tell if I'm just imagining it.

Last, if I really do have to run this installation process over for every session, is there any way to trim the fat?  The Facepalmer mods are all listed yellow, for example -- 'not needed in this config' -- but they still seem to get loaded.  If I moved them out of the folder, they went orange, but other 'yellow' mods turned dark-red meaning I needed them.  They're like Shrondinger's Mods in that I both don't and do need them. =-=;

Yellow can mean that you have another version of the same mod around, so this particular version is not needed. Right now there is no way to shorten the time needed for the installation; if you plan to change your settings every 2 minutes you should look into 7th Heaven instead.

Installing Bootleg over an already-Bootlegged install is not yet supported. This can yield particularly weird results, and we decided not to support it due to this. This might change in the future.

I don't know about the FF7Music installer, that would be Covarr.

Regarding the parts missing, it just means you don't have the mods and it skips it. Fairly obvious.

Where is your game installed, which version is it, where is Bootleg, where are the mods and which OS do you run?

hey guys found this in my log

[00000000] INFO: Original resolution 640x480, window size 1920x1080, output resolution 1920x1080, internal resolution 1920x1440

which explains why my screen is zoomed up and cut off at the top right.

How can I change the internal resolution? i tried in the bootloader but after I updated to latest aalis graphics driver I can no longer write to the CFG file. What do i need to enter into the CFG to manually set the internal resolution? I also manually reverted back to version ff7_opengl-0.7.10b but i can't save changes, however editing the file manually works.

I want to set it to 5120x3840

Cheers

You need to only use 0.7.11b that is included in the install.

ok reverted back but I still can't get the screen centred properly unless i set output resolution to 0x0 which uses the native resolution. when I try my windows resolution of 1920x1080 the top and left of the screen are fine but the bottom and right are cut off.

Sorted my problem out turns out I can only run in native resolution or 1280x720. For some reason 1600x900 and 1920x1080 cut off bits of the screen.

I have read somewhere that the DPI can have a negative influence on this.
