But i can play it on vanilla ... i don't understand :'(

EDIT: That's it ! I decided to search in all other files and i found a "FR-fr" folder with "kernel" inside. I copy/paste those on the right kernel folder and it works !

It's a legit copy.
I check the integrity of game and it's ok. Still no kernel files
May i say the game works very good in vanilla ?

The problem is that there isn't any files in the kernel folder. Even in my Steam version.

7th Heaven / [Solved] Crash on startup after mod install

Hi everyone.

I decided to play FF7 again by installing this time mods. But after installation, i have a crash, always on startup. After reading APP.LOG, i would miss data/kernel/kernel.bin and kernel2.bin.
I use a copy of the Steam version for that.

Obv, I followed the Tuto for installation with the Game Converter in first.

Sorry for triple post but i resolved my problem.
The problem came from Game Converter.

Next the solution :

- I copy/past the missing files from language folder to the right one.
- After run the bootleg and it works.

I found something !
It's not the bootleg who make my game crash, it's the Game Converter.
After Game Converter, the game crash without any mods.

Someone have an idea ?

Hi everybody,
I have Final Fantasy 7 on Steam and  want to play with some mods.
So i decided to follow this tutorial => http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=13212.0
But, after installation, i launch game with the BootLoader and black screen, little sound (acute ?) and return to windows (no crash popup)

I used Game Converter and have ff7 folder to c:/ => "c:/ff7/"

EDIT: I tried to copy the files but i have a crash popup and the next APP.LOG

EDIT 2: I tried so many times to reinstall with other parameters and a last time with "minimal" preset and the problem isn't solved.
