Well since you are doing FFs (in a fanatic way) next best thing will be those 4 meeting you in real life while walking down a street. Just thought this picture as a humorous representation of my concept. As SE supports in their most trailers it's a real life story after all.

To me they seems like forced characters. Thats what i didn't like about FF6 as well. They make a huge deal about who the main characters are. At least in FF6 most of these characters turned out good in the end. It would be awesome if 15 turned out to be great too, but I don'tv have high expectations.

Scratch what I said earlier. I watched the trailer again, this time with audio. That blonde dude is the one I hate the most. And that Sasuke-wannabe lead character is also an insta-hate. Knowing the otaku fanbase these type of characters are aimed at, I'm pretty much 100% certain I will not like them.

Sorry, I hate to come off as a hater.

I do my best.

The 3 main tasks I will have on the engine will be:
#1: Optimization. CPU and GPU. They need this badly as the engine is new and until now have focused on feature support rather than performance.
#2: Visual FX. The video shows some existing effects, but more are needed.
#3: Anything related to the rendering pipeline.

I also have some ideas of my own of what to implement to make improvements here and there.

I will do my best to ensure the highest quality of graphics is delivered in the final product.

I don't care that much about the graphics to be honest. I favour story, music and gameplay above graphics personally. Bummer for me, 'cause most development goes into graphics these days.
That being said, good graphics is -of course- welcome. If everything else is half assed, awesome graphics can save the day.
