Hmm well if there happens to be any problematic glitches that happen (I can live with robo barrett) then would the solution just be to attempt a reinstall?

The original APZ Cloud texture is partially ripped.  According to Qhimm rules, I cannot repackage it.
The OCRemix tracks from The Remix aren't included in Anxious Heart.

I can easily repackage the tracks.  The only source (at Qhimm) for the original APZ Cloud texture is The Remix.
Well the most identical looking to the original APZ Cloud would be this:
http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=13703.100
and for the OC Remix tracks i think i can remember i did repackage all of them and uploaded it to my Skydrive but i never knew this would be of any use to anyone so i removed it, gosh im an idiot  :'(
well if you want i can do it all for you even though Bootleg won't install on my current computer i can just install ff7 again and only install ff7remix just so i can get the tracks, repackage them and upload?? and then uninstall the game again until i get a capable pc of running Bootleg :)

Not really. The current solution would be to manually install your Barret model. Otherwise, PitBrat is aiming for a fix with the ulgp tool for the next Bootleg release.

Not sure if you mean me repacking all te tracks with 7zip instead of winrar? If so sure or you meant me downloading the zipped remix files? Not sure what you mean by dump, will do it tomorrow for sure :)

I've just been running into a problem where the Avalanche GUI won't install as it "requires a 32-bit version of Windows". If I just ignore it and try to finish the installation and run the game, it starts the BootLoader fine, but when it comes time to actually play the game, it brings up the usual "has encountered a problem..." message. Any help would be appreciated. BTW, sorry if this has been raised before, I just can't be bothered looking through 80 or so pages to find it.

Cheers,
SZ

System Specs (if they even matter in this case, but hey, WTF, might as well):
Intel Celeron 2.20GHz
1.00 GB RAM
64-bit system

What OS are you running?  And how the heck is it running with only 1GB of ram??

Avalanche GUI installs just fine on my 64bit system.
Not installing it won't cause the game to crash.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, and 1GB ram wasn't terrible when I got it a few years back. And it's not as if I upgraded to it - 7 came with the laptop. I'd replace it, but I've not got the funds. It can run Oblivion w/ expansion packs fine, and that was good enough for me when I got it.

Now, the following should be enough, as it's pictures of the screenshots of my Bootleg settings and my System Info, but if you need anything else, just ask. I'll even try reinstalling, and grab you the exact error message if you'd like.

Cheers (again),
SZ

Your video card may be responsible for the crash.
A fully modded FF7 requires at least 512MB of video ram.
Also, Intel video cards don't play well with Bootleg.

Hello guys , I'm new here
Today I downloaded Bootleg
I unzipped the file, inserted into the folder "mod"
where the game is installed, close any files related to FF7
I open first Bootleg
and after "BFE" and choose my game settings and destination folder
is after I do "Run Bootleg"
file and begin to be extracted, so long as it is okay
ends after "Preparing Sprinkles" start errors

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I hope for your help
edit: my OS is Windows 7 32bit ,  Intel Dual Core 2.1Ghz - Ram 3GB.

I'm no an expert in bootleg but I think the log says it all..base on you're post your missing files.
have you downloaded the other mods? or you just downloaded the bootleg alone?
Bootleg just installs and configure the mods in a much easier way you will need to download all the mods you need separately, there are lots of tutorials here regarding bootleg you should read them first. ;D

there's one up top on the first post and here's another, http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=13212.0

Tanks for reply.

I did not know you had to download the additional mod.
'cause seeing that I could set the settings (like in these pictures ShadowZenith) thought I did not have to download anything
thanks again :)

Hi ShadowZenith

For Win7 64 Bit is assuming as a minimum 2GB of RAM.
I strongly recommend you to buy more RAM, ideally equal to 4 GB.
Especially because a portion of RAM is needed for the graphics chip.

In the BIOS you can adjust how much RAM should be made for the graphics chip for disposal.
If you can set this value to 512MB, you should do that, but only if you have more RAM.

The TA Highres has a small bug in the installation routine.
A certain registry value is checked whether Aalis driver is used.
For 64 bit Windows (at least for me), this value is not used by the game.
You must change the value before the installation of the TA High Res.
Run "Regedit.exe" and navigate to

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Square Soft, Inc.\Final Fantasy VII\1.00\Graphics]

Double Click on the "Driver" and change the value to 3

Then you can install the TA High Res.
Then again install TA GUI v2.0.8, just for safety.

@ PitBrat
Did you read my PM, or did you delete them immediately?

Yes, I read your PM.  The FF7Music missing \ fix is already implemented in the upcoming .040 release.
I maintain legacy support for the original facepalmer download and the fix packs.
Bootleg first checks for Omzy's FF7 Field Pack.zip.
The fix packs really don't fix all the problems.  There are still visual glitches in the temple of the ancients.
Also, the 'animated' lighting textures do not function.
I still recommend using the deglitch feature in Bootleg.

Intel graphics cards typically do not allow the user to manually configure the amount of ram allocated via the bios.
Nor is this an option in the video card driver.
Ram allocation is controlled by each game or application.
Aali's driver doesn't allow for this type of control yet.
Therefore Intel cards are not well suited to running a fully modded FF7.

Thank you for your suggestions and solutions.
Sometimes I'm a bit too overwhelmed to reply, but I do read everything.
I rely on input from users in order to make Bootleg better!

Hi all,

I am new to this modding stuffs. I would like to know if this modding works with the new version of FF7 remake?

If you are new to modding, I would recommend waiting for the next version of Bootleg which has a patch to automatically convert the new FF7 release to the older release to enable mod support.

If however, you would like to do it yourself, there are plenty of forum entries that you can find using the search functionality of the forums.

But just as a warning: it converts the new FF7 to the older release. Meaning all the new functionality of the re-release, Cloud Saves, profiles, achievements, etc, will no longer work.

Sadly most store bought computers have 64-bit operating systems installed even when only 1 GB of ram is available. No it doesn't make any sense, but they sell them anyways and the end user has no idea.

well depends. if a laptop only comes with 2gb or 4gb but its max is 8gb or higher then its better to put a 64 bit on it. but if its a netbook with a max of 2 then theres no point.

in my oppinion max ram is what matters not current ram.

So apparently my email stopped getting emails when someone posted on this thread. That's annoying. lol

Any news on a ballpark ETA for .040? I seriously can't play with REDXIII and Aeris broken like this. But I'm also stubborn and won't revert to the default models. Woe is me. ;)
