That's actually really dependent on the game (and the game engine I would assume).

I also wouldn't say there's a major difference even in ff xiii as each generation gets closer and closer to having "real-time" cgi custcenes.  Square do polish their cgi to a crazy extent however so they usually would be the game company with the biggest differences.

The difference in the robotic scorpion thing is somewhat noticeable. But I agree with you. Soon there won't be any pre-rendered CGI cutscenes.

Technology is now at the point where cgi shouldn't be needed as much.  The difference between cgi scenes and in-game scenes are sometimes so minimal I barely see the difference.  Quite a change from the ff7 days!

There's a very noticeable difference. Just look at XIII.

loving the textures, and models.

You know.. Team Avalanche could use some texture artists. Just sayin *nudge nudge* :D

sl1982 closed the Project Bombing Mission thread. Not sure what his reasoning for that was.

Yes, many guys wear eyeliner above, below, inside and out.
It mostly depends on where a fellow resides.
Where I grew up in Houston, Texas, it wasn't uncommon for straight guys to wear full eye makeup.

Now I live in hillbilly country and it's not even cool for a guy to wear pink shorts to WalMart.

lol wait a minute. Straight guys from Texas wore makeup?

See this again is your problem.  You are simply accepting crap and then telling me that it is "tough luck".  Do you not see for 1 second the problem here?

And I don't play the series after FFX.  I made that clear.  Maybe if you did the same we would get decent games again, but no, instead Enix laughs its head off cause you will buy anything it chucks out.

I think the games after FFX are decent, therefore I buy then and play them.

32
Then don't play the series.

I guess you would consider me the latter of the two.

What an excuse...  This isn't about "living in the 90's" it is about being mighty pissed off with todays games being worse than the 90's.  And yes worse because both content and quality of games after the merger are worse.

Every time people are presented with numerous examples of the dumbing down they resort to telling people to "move on" or "i dont care i didnt like those things anyway"

It all amounts to blind fanboyism.

The only fanboyism here seems to be coming from your posts. "PLZ REMAKE FFVII GUIZE N STOP REMAKING USELESS GAMES LIKE FFX IT SUX MAJOR BALLZ O AND FFXIII SUX TOO EVEN THO I DIDNT PLAY IT"

Do guys wear eyeliner on their top eyelid?

36
they dont give a SHIT about the original fans
see: every installment in the FF series since 9 / 10

Original fans need to learn how to move on and stop living in the 90's.

You can choose from a variety of weapons? It would be even better if you could upgrade them. Maybe hire a few lackeys to make sure none of the slaves get out of line.

In all seriousness, it seems like a decent game. I mean it is based on history. I suppose it's no worse than fighting Nazis in World War II in a Call of Duty game.

They have already stated that FF7 would take too long to do in HD.  i.e. they can't be arsed puttin in the effort of an older game when they can get by on the mediocrity of the new ones.  Why spend 10 years making FF7 in 720p when you can rerelease FFX etc with a simple upscaling and make a wedge of money.

Sounds good to me. Why are you so butthurt about Square not remaking VII? It would take too long and they would probably ruin something about it.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing hope in XIII-2 for some reason. Snow.. not so much. And that guy with the pink hair reminded me of the guy in Organization XIII from Kingdom Hearts.

42
Yeah dark aeons and Penance. And a choice for the Japanese voice acting would be wonderful because honestly, I hated Tidus's voice.

43
I'm going to be getting this too. Overall, I enjoyed this game. They better use the International version though.

44
so what exactly does it mean,,,, they will remake the game or they will add some enhancements to become hd?.

They'll probably upscale, widescreen, and smooth. It'll be like the God of War collection.

FF7 > every other FF, nuff said!

Take your fanboyism somewhere else. It's one thing to state FF7 is better than any other FF and then post why, but you just blatantly posted it without any explanation.

Saying that you should allow people to like the game is just silly because in the end, if games are not criticised there is no incentive to change for the better.

I agree that the game has flaws but I still like it. Besides, EVERY game has flaws.

The whole "let people enjoy what they like" thing is total bullshit
I enjoy MURDER and making people feel so bad about their lives that they will kill themselves by eating spoons. so could you kindly let me enjoy that by being my first victim?
That kind of logic can be applied to just about everything and just about everything ultimately gets a worse and worse standard every time a bad decision is made with that kind of justification
So you're saying people can't like FFXIII or its sequel just because you don't?

Why does Hope have to be in it? He was my least favorite character.

If you look at this from a company's viewpoint, it's better to rush games that will sell than to take their time and try to produce something everyone will like. If they make games that are rushed and people buy it, why would they change their tactics?
