Troubleshooting / Fort Condor crash

So, a search on this topic came up with no concrete answers..
Every time I bring up the orders menu in the first FC battle, the game crashes. Using software mode doesn't really help because the game won't even start with it. The whole battle minigame has some graphical glitches too it seems.
Patches I'm using:

Chocobo
NPC reconstruction
Saint's hi-res
Minigames
Battle swirl fix
Spell names
AC character pictures
