FF7 crash at fighting yuffie

alright so here's how i installed since i had to do it a little differently

installed to dir c:\users\ben\saved games\ff7
installed 1.02 patch
installed the chocobo patch
installed aali's custom driver 0.7.3
(i didn't realize when i installed that the chocobo patch was outdated)

so now everytime i fight yuffie, the game crashes when she uses this fire bomb looking move.
i don't know how to open the crash.dmp file but here is a copy of the app log

i don't think most of it matters except for the last part. but anyway here you are. has anyone seen this problem before? is there an easy fix or will i have to uninstall ff7 yet again. and if i do where is the area it stores the keyboard configuration so i can just make a back up of it and place it in the right directory? oh and do i need the multiple save files? i read that that was fixed but i'm not sure about in 0.7.3

I've seen this happen before against motor ball when he uses rolling fire. Best advice I can give ya is try to update your graphics drivers, try turning shaders off in the FF7 OpenGL Config File, and try using a different version of Aali's driver.

Try those three things in that order.

i know how to update aali's driver and i updated my graphics card. but i actually don't know how to do the other thing you mentioned. can you explain to me how?

edit: still doesn't work with updated graphics card
edit2: if all you had to do was go to the cfg file open with notepad and when it has shaders type no

then i tried that and it also didn't work. what version of aali's custom driver should i update to?

edit 3: updated to 7.7b it worked like a charm, and i got yuffie. thanks for your help titeguy!
