General Discussion / Why almost all the character moddeling projects are frozen?

I've researched a bit and i found Timu's post with almost all the characters ready just waiting for texturing, but the post's date is from 2009 and we're in 2011... I don't think it would take that much time to model a character completely... and I also know that the people that model have life as well, they don't model 24/7.
I just wanted to know if the projects are frozen or if there is someone actually working on it especially on the texturing issues...

Well, hello all! I'm new at this forum but I'm definettly not new at Final Fantasy gaming...
So I know when I see quality and the mods that have been developed are... well... awesome!
The main purpose of this post is to thank all the modders of this forum and every little contribuition that everyone had done.
What I'm actually trying to say is that you guys rock! I mean, you're making something that evolves the whole world, ( I know that because I'm from Brazil) and you're doing the dreams of every Final Fantasy 7 or even 8 player! remakes! You're improving something that is already perfect, and that my friends is surpass the perfectness!
Here are some especific names that i would like to thank:
- Timu_Sumisu: You're models are freaking awesome, your effort and ideas to develop even more the game is also something great.
- Millenia: You're textures are perfect and for what I've seen so far that's one of the most hard things to do, so, dude, you rule!
- sl1982: The leader, the one that organizes everything, also a lot of effort and consideration with everyone in this forum, an example!
- pyrozen: He showed me the world, with better grapphics!
- The Team Avalanche Itself: Square Enix would be jealous!
Generally, THANK YOU VERY MUCH FINAL FANTASY MODDERS, YOU'RE MAKING GAMERS DREAMS COME TRUE.

So, I was searching in google for some info about modelling and stuff, i'm actually trying to do something with tifa (no it's not sex) but as I expected modelling is extremely hard, but whatever i'm gonna do it 
anyway, i found something pretty interesting...

I see the guys from team avalanche work damn hard to make those, and then I find a model already done but hey look at the price!? ohhh that's right I'm not rich...

So I've searched alot about this in google and in this forum... Well I've found some models but, they're forbidden because they're ripped from another games... and because they suck 
.
What I would like to know is if there is any project on going, and I mean a project with the quality of APZ Cloud Project or Timu Sumisu & Millenia's Barret Project.
If any one could update me about this, I would really apreciate it
