My hometown was recently in the news as part of the Muslim grooming scandal, so that should tell you something. It's a poor area, full of crime and idiocy, and I have to get out. On one side, you have the drug dealers and white gangs and, on the other, you have the conquering Muslims (and yes, there is absolutely no intention on their part to integrate whatsoever. OH HOW ISLAMOPHOBIC OF ME!

It's a powder keg waiting to explode. The only good thing about my hometown is that the surrounding wildlife is great. It's just a shame the same can't be said of the humans who inhabit the town. I guess there are some decent people here - the pubs and sports centres are filled with friendly people. Ordinary people will generally strike up a convo with a random person (unlike the south of England). But it's a disaster most places.
