[Release] Scorpicus' Zack Patch

I know there are probably a dozen or so people working on various "Zack Patches", but since almost all the patches are incomplete or their download links eject you to cyberspace, I thought I'd make one. 

It allows you to play the game as Zack in the field, battle; chocobo and bike minigames and world map.  The text and icons have also been altered to portray Zack.  There are still a couple of glitches, but it's (pretty much) a complete Zack/Cloud role reversal.

NOTE:  Both versions install the same patch.  They just have different file sizes/difficulty of installation.

Download the "full" version - 100mb with one file to patch the game automatically:

Glitches

You are reverted back to Cloud for the snowboard mini game.

Cut scenes still portay Cloud.


Note to NPC Patch Modders:  If you haven't already got a Zack model for your patch, feel free to use my Zack battle model  :wink:

Note to Sephiroth Patch fans:  I'll get back to working on it, honest!

The hair on the battle model should be  longer, I think.
Also, if you intend to keep the battle model in "Crisis Core" mode be sure to change the field as well.

If you're going for a Crisis Core look, I believe you should make the field model and the portrait acompany that.
Personaly I like the original FF7 look best, and it goes with the timeline....
But that's just my opinion. It's a great piece of work!!


PS: Any news on the 1.2 sephiroth patch??  :-D

Hmmmm... I suppose I really should go for one portrayl of Zack instead of mix and matching.  I do like the "new" Zack look better then the porcupine hair he has in the origional game, but, it would be a waste of the actual field models Square gave us to alter them.  So, I'll alter the battle model to go more with the origional character design in the next release.

Well maybe I should waste the mods times and create a new topic about adding a couple photos of modified Limit Breaks for this patch's kernel file if Scorpious lets me post it, instead of posting the message here.

It doesn't waste time for mods when you create a new topic. It just keeps things neater.
And what do your modified limit breaks have to do with this patch? Just make a topic about your modified limit breaks and mention that you're also using scorpius's zack patch.

And you definitely necrod this thread by simply saying "I'll try this out". You didn't post pics of limit breaks or whatever, and saying that you will in the future means nothing right now. You could've necrod the thread then. However, you should just make a new thread since it has nothing to do with this patch anyways.

Never mind reading the rules, orlan, did you even read the last few posts on this topic?  You're not supposed to reply to a post where the last post is more than 30 days old...

Anyway, I don't think it will be compatible with the PRP, unless they have implemented a better Zack model.  But seeing as there's no Zack battle model to begin with...  Just try and see.
