Don't extract it. Just mount it (FF7DISC1) and run the game converter.

I'll check it later and fix it if needed.

Sure, I'll add it :)

The settings in the 7H client has an area for extra folders. Type in direct there.

Hard to tell what the issue is. The game freezes and the controller becomes unresponsive? Where does it freeze ingame?

There isn't an IRO. I created one for the Catalog by pulling files and data from the installer.

APP.log is completely blank?

I recommend satsuki for all texture options (field, battle, world). It will look the most consistent across an entire play through.

No ideas. Iros is the coder of 7H, but he's not been active in a very long time. Whatever issue this might be with the code, I'm not able to fix. Sorry :(

Try uninstalling and downloading the file again.

7thHeaven / Re: Why were the remade FMV's not included?
« on: 2018-10-07 00:18:13 »
The first one is only a partial mod, and I try not to include those to save space for the download. I could consider the second one. The movies category is going to get much larger, and...FMVs (imo) are not a center point for modding FF7. All we're really looking at are resizes and filters to watch slightly better movies that don't play that often.

You're using v1.

v2: iros://Url/http$

Edit the settings.xml with the v2 Catalog link.

Chibi field models? I originally wanted them in, but the Chibi project was incomplete, so I left them out. I didn't like the idea of releasing it and randomly seeing modded + unmodded Chibi models shown in the same field.

There's a tool called HRC Resizer that allows you to resize models. There is an option to check "SD-style resize" which keeps the head, hands, and feet unchanged while resizing the rest of the body parts to your choosing. I guess this would give them a similar look to Kingdom Hearts? So maybe not quite the classic Chibi style of the original FFVII. One feature it's missing is a batch option, so you have to resize each model one-by-one. That takes a bit of time and is extremely boring, but it could give us a complete "Chibi" like set if applied to a project that's complete (e.g. ChaOS - Character Overhaul Seven).

I don't know if I have permission to pull those models from another site and add to the 7H Catalog. Generally, mods found outside of Qhimm have some form of copyright infringement (ripped and converted models from other FF games), and it's never allowed to be distributed here at Qhimm. I can't tell if those models are original or ripped from another source.

I didn't test most of the mods beyond starting a new game, jumping off the train, and initiating the first Shinra solder battle. There's too many mods to spend that much time testing deep gameplay, and I rely on users to report anything they see wrong. I think this is probably a mistake I made when compiling the files. I'll test it myself and try to fix it.

FYI though, I am finding it really difficult to release the next 7H update because...well, I've spent so many years on this project basically alone and I'm burnt out :(

You have Menu Overhaul activated, so you need to go to the Settings and set the FF7 Exe path to use ff7_mo.exe.

Modding with 7H doesn't replace any files in the game folder. Your activated mods will be applied after the game is launched, and unapplied after exiting the game.

The current 7H NT can run with MO, but the ff7_mo.exe provided in the game converter changes the starting stats. I have the updated version with the correct stats, but just waiting on some free time to convert it to hext for injection with the next 7H update.

Glad we got it straightened out  :)

And I learned that settings don't always save correctly after the initial setup  :-\

Beacause will never work with NT until Sega Chief creates NT 2.0. He wants to combine Beacause with it for that release, but it's far, far off from completion.

MO already works with NT.

I do have plans for the next release to allow MO and Beacause to be played without having to do any .exe switching.

<LibraryLocation>D:\Games\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII\mods\7th Heaven"D:\Games\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII\mods\7th Heaven</LibraryLocation>

That's the problem. Edit it to this: <LibraryLocation>D:\Games\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII\mods\7th Heaven</LibraryLocation>

Save the file afterwards.

Try going to the [gamepath]\mods\7th Heaven folder and deleting the temporary file for it. Then open 7H and try downloading it again.

Close 7H and navigate to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\7thWorkshop. Open the settings.xml and check your saved paths. I've seen reports in the past of changes not saving to that file.
