thanks for the download mate, Though not being able to change the install path could cause some issues with 7th Heaven...

In the past whenever I've installed to the windows program folders it has caused it not to work, probably because of the protection on them so I always installed it to games/FF7 but I will test later and let you know :)

Thank you for your work mate

quick update, tried installing and I get this error...

I'm lost, is this actually released as I can't see a download it anywhere?

5
this is amazing guys! I don't want it to do anything fancy but just to install the game so I can install New Threat lol.

Also I'm all for 64bit if it won't break 7th heaven and so on?

6
Hm, i had no issues at all with SE downloadable version (bought version from the shop) on windows 10. I did this....

Started the GameConverter in admin mode. Set the correct game path (even when he does find it, just set it manually) and thats it.

This isn't about the releases, this is for the original CD version

7
so is there any chance of anyone doing this as right now I am completely stuck on what to do to get this to install other than buying the steam release :(

8
if someone could make an installer I would be forever grateful! Right now I'm stuck and don't want to pay for the steam release just to convert it back to the old version :/

Plus with microsoft shoving windows 10 down every ones throats this is going to become common and windows 10 itself is actually a really good OS

9
Trying to install an old copy of FF7 on Windows 10 and finding that it doesn't work? Have no fear! Use Tom's Installer! It'll install the game from original discs, even on Windows 10, where the original installer doesn't work! Note: It will not help with piracy. You need discs. ~Covarr

Just a heads up, in the RTM build of windows 10 final fantasy 7 will not install so make sure to install a clean copy before you upgrade if you plan on using 7th Heaven as I'm completely stuck ha.

It did work fine with earlier builds and I've tried all sorts of compatibility settings but with no luck. It seems to get stuck once you click install and then it switches to the 32bit installer through the wow64 compatibility layer, when you check task manager it has started it up but it is just sitting there using 0% cpu and 1.4mb ram :/

Hopefully the game converter can maybe be updated to force the install to happen or copy the files across and write the necessary registry settings otherwise be ready to buy the steam version

Edit: Just to be clear, this only applies to disc-based versions of the game. The Steam version installs just fine, and is recommended for people purchasing FF7 for the first time. ~Covarr

7thHeaven / Re: 7th Heaven Mod Requests - To Do List
« on: 2015-07-20 21:38:30 »
Just a though will this be compatible with windows 10, I can not think why it should be but when I get windows 10 at the end of the month I was planning to install it on that as fresh installation.

I've installed it on beta versions of windows 10 with no issues

11
waiting for these release is like waiting for Christmas lol

12
Hi Yuffie, if you look back in this thread I tell people how to install NT 1.2 with 7th Heaven so you can use it and also the NT mod... The process will be the same for 1.3

It has to be done in a specific order using the gameconverter twice if I remember correctly.

I haven't installed 1.3 as I'm waiting for 1.35 or for when the new rank up system is implemented, if this happens to be 1.3 then I will actually do my work around method and post it again but if you search this thread you should find my instructions :)

13
yeah happened to me when I upgraded, you just need to run the gameconverter again. The upgrade process doesn't carry over the registry keys properly when you upgrade.

Hey Iros,

Are you running EQ2Elyza music and sounds mod? The crash will only happen if that mod is active with any of the music selections (no change will mean no music plays and so no crash will happen). All the other mods don't cause the crash to happen, just that particular at those particular times.

FF7 Tools / Re: [FF7PC] Mod manager - 7thHeaven (v1.44)
« on: 2015-02-03 04:01:21 »
I have all of EQ2Alyza mods active minus the game play mod.

This crash only appeared with 1.43 and maybe it is due to me using windows 10 but i doubt it as 1.40 doesn't cause an Inn to crash

18
soon enough being today because god I'm excited for this like everyone else ha!

Hi Iros,

Thanks for the great modding tool as always but the last two updates have caused breakages in another area.

As of 1.43 (may have been in 1.42) when you go to get the choco/mog materia, just as the chocobos are about to finish the dance it causes a crash to desktop. It also happens if you try to rest at any Inn, once the rest tune is about to finish playing it crashes to desktop. As the only change to my FF7 was the updates to 7th Heaven I reverted back to 1.40 as that is what I had in my download folder and there was no crash at either of the said times anymore.

20
ok I done good old fashion trial by elimination and the only thing I could work out could be the cause was the 7th Heaven updates by IROS himself as that is the only thing I had changed.

It started happening with 1.43 i believe so i reverted back to my 1.40 download and guess what, no crash when getting the choco/mog materia with any of the music mods now and no crash when using an Inn (which would of lead to crashes at story moments as well)

21
ok now I am even more lost, if i sleep at an Inn after the sleeping sound plays it crashes to the desktop. If i choose no change so I have no sound it will just flash the screen and im all rested as it doesn't wait to see if the sound has finished playing.

But it basically means I can't use an Inn if I'm using the music and effects mod?

22
OK i found a save close enough and tested them all and they all cause it to crash apart from no change as no audio plays with that option anyway so it skips the dance and just gives the choco/mog materia

23
It is definitely at the end of dance that it crashes with the music and sounds mod.

Funny thing is, if i deactivate music and sounds I then have no in game music so when i choose "wark" it skips the dance, makes a squirrel and gives me the choco/mog

I did save a crash dump if you want it?

24
Hey EQ2Alyza,

Just wanted to report I am getting a crash when getting the choco/mog materia, it happens just as they finish their dance and make that squark they make. It only happens if I have the music and sound fx mod turned on, otherwise it doesn't crash

25
I'm going to make the last boss drop all of them, then the ending credits will play  :x

Was that sarcasm my Scottish friend as I'm pretty sure the ultimate weapons are there earned through your new quests on disc 3 and a couple of others in different ways? As for sources sure they are planned for new game plus?

I was actually going to post something equally sarcastic yesterday but held my fingers :P
